Is Gennadiy Golovkin SHOT...???

It's possible. Would like to see him go on an asskicking spree one more time before he rides off into the sunset.

 

I've never seen Golovkin miss so many punches before or after Canelo, well maybe against Jacobs too. He also went from power puncher to jabber against Canelo, but I don't blame him because most fighters do that against Canelo and if they don't we've seen how they pay for committing to their punches.

Also Canelo was having his first real fight at the full 160 limit against Golovkin and then had his second fight at 160 again against Golovkin and we saw how was he was more acclimated to the higher weight he banged up Golovkin bad, worse than anyone has ever banged him up.

 

That corkscrew shot worked against Canelo in the later rounds of the first fight but not so much in the 2nd fight, Canelo was ready for it and had a counter.

 

He is post peak pre post prime

I think he beats JM wIth ease, RM gives him a tough go but still loses.

 

Canelo fought Chavez jr at 164.5 also, and looked huge and ripped, and Chavez was a former middleweight champ. So he fought at higher than middleweight already and was dominant. Also boxers and athletes in other sports need to adjust their strategy to who they are fighting or competing against, all apponents are different. The point is, the a way i see it, he won against his elite apponents just not in highlight reel fashion. A win is a win. I thought that GGG would stop Jacobs in a war but he didnt. I thought Golovkin fought a great defensively responsible fight and won close but clear vs Jacobs, by about 3 points. I thought he fought 2 great fights vs Canelo. The 2nd fight Canelo was in pure beast mode, the same beast mode he is in today, anything less than GGG'S best and Canelo would have run him over, but GGG fought a great fight with his powerful jab and complete focus, as well as his rally in the last 3rd of the fight. Against Derevyanchenko i think their were several factors that affected GGG'S performance, #1 change of trainers, #2 illness on fight week, and 3 Derevyanchenko's style. It made for a hell of a tough and close fight. I had it for GGG by one point, so if some have it for Derevyanchenko i get it. I thought GGG landed the cleaner harder shots, as a GGG fan I'll take the win, which makes me understand how Canelo fans are happy to take their close and some controversial decisions at times.

Yeah.
The more fighter is able to prepare his gameplan and training for opponent x or y, the more chances to win this one.
Team's task in high level pro boxing is to prepare fighter for opponent in X or Y guy.
Fighter's ability and talent to adjust is big part in this game. Some fighters are able to adjust even during fight, some no.

 

I'ma big fan of GGG but he looks knackered now, next decent fighter he comes up against he's gonna lose

 

No he is not shot. He is on the slide but is still the top dog in the middleweight division aside from Canelo.

A shot fighter is James Kirkland v Montiel, Amir Khan v Crawford, James Degale v Eubank Jr.......

Only he didn't. Not even once, let alone twice. And GGG wasn't way past his prime. GGG was considered at his peak vs David Lemieux, which was less than 2 years before he fought Canelo. Even if you argue that in those 2 years he started his decline, in no way can it be argued that he was "way" past his prime less than 2 years from being peak while sustaining little to no damage in any match between then.
