Golovkin doesn't have a chance in this poll. I think Joe Louis would even win a poll against Mayweather or Manny.

I have GGG winning this one.

Joe Louis was pressed to hard by Conn for me to like his chance against fast skilled boxers at lower weights. He is just not mobile enough, he also really struggled against crowders.

GGG just does not have a glaring weakness to point at. He just does better against all types.

I think any rational person would pick GGG.

Louis is an All-Time Great... ...Golovkin is not.

I'd put Sugar Ray Robinson ahead of him because of his success in so many weight classes.

Louis had better overall boxing fundamentals. He was the more skilled of the two. But if we pretend Golovkin brings his skills and power up to HW, he could give Joe a lot of trouble. P4P Golovkin had a better chin.

In classics probably not in general. But objectively speaking they should both be ranked higher then Louis P4P cause of their success in multiple weight classes.

Louis , Mayweather and Pacman are about 100 places above Gennady on the p4p list

No for whatever reason he didn't fight all the best, neither was his reign as long.

Louis had exceptionally more in his toolbox than Golovkin and was significantly more able.

Pound-for-Pound, Louis had a better and bigger punch than Golovkin. By the same token, Golovkin never faced a power puncher of an equivalent class to the biggest punchers Louis faced – so rating Golovkin's chin as better is highly speculative.

Even if Golovkin brings what he has up to Heavyweight, he is over-matched.

This is the biggest problem with Golovkin. Too many big names he didn't face for whatever reason.

And in terms of skill, he wasn't as well rounded as Louis.

Avenging the Schmeling loss, losing to Charles and Marciano is a lot more respectable than drawing and losing twice to Canelo

Yeah I suppose it may depend if it's on classic or not.
