Canelo, Lemieux, Jacobs were big punchers. Couldn't put a dent in GGG. Golovkin was never floored, Louis was knocked down ten times in his career by some lesser fighters. 37 year old Louis KO'd by Rocky, 40 year old GGG went the distance with a prime Canelo.

I like Louis, he's an ATG, but he wasn't the invincible killer he is made out to be by his fans.

Golovkin is awesome but come on. He's nowhere near the same class with Joe Louis.

The reason he didn't face some big names was that they were avoiding him. Cotto, Martinez, Quillan, Charlo, all ducked him.

Louis is a product of a perfect style for the era he arrived in.

He struggled against fast starters, slick boxers and crowders. He got some gift decisions to extend his range. But the majority of his opponents came to him in a straight line and tried to outslug him.

is he a great, absolutely, but there is a reason H2H he struggles.

Jacobs had decent power , not big.
Lemieux had big power but GGG never got hit by him. Saunders beating lemieux doesn't mean he has an atg chin. He wasn't hit by him either.
Canelo hasn't the power to split guards therefore he isn't a power puncher

GGG ducked charlo twice when the WBC made him mandatory.
Another time The WBC made GGG number 1 challenger to charlo and instead he chose to sit on the sidelines until murata was available.
GGG only wanted to fight murata because he wasn't a challenge.
GGG also dropped belts to avoid Lara and Falco.
And of course he refused point blank to fight ward

GGG never ducked Charlo, it was Jermall who hid behind Uncle Al under the protective umbrella of PBC.

Murata was a champion, that's why he took the fight.

GGG ducking Lara and Falco? LOL. Had he beaten Lara his haters would have said be beat up a 154 pounder. Same way they dismissed his Brook win.

Ward didn't want to fight GGG at 160. Ward did say he would come to 160 for Mayweather but no one else. That is a duck by Ward. There was no reward in fighting Ward at any weight. Tell us all about his biggest PPV numbers....200K vs Kovalev. Yawn.

If Golovkin had been willing to move up and fight some of the big names who were 8-15 pounds bigger than him, this might be an entirely different conversation.

No one has a better boxing resume than Joe Louis. 12 years as champion. 25 title defends. 66-3 with 52 ko's. He lost his first fight in 1936. He didn't lose again until 1951.

The Ward fight was at 168 and you can Google - Golovkin turned it down in 30 seconds.

You'll have to provide evidence that charlo ducked GGG. Charlo called out GGG multiple times. He was made Mando by WBC. GGG ignored and avoided charlo all throughout his later career

Ya 100% GGG dropped the belt when he was ordered to fight Lara.

He refused to fight anybody apart from that polish guy and murata.
That's why he requested the IBF bring forward their mandate for the Polak. He didn't want to have to fight anyone better.
Then he refused to fight anybody apart from Murata even if it meant wasting his twilight years until Japan allowed crowds again after the lockdowns

Murata walked forward blocking punches with his face , a soup can. That's why GGG wanted to fight him so badly to the point he flat out refused to consider better fights

Never trust Louis with a mover; never trust Brando with the butter. There's a reason that became a saying. Nobody invented a saying like that for Golovkin.
