Is George Foreman a top 10 heavyweight of all-time ?

He is objectively a top 10 heavyweight and i couldnt imagine a valid list that doesnt have him

 

It kind of depends what you like, but it would be hard to have him out of your top ten.

You could make a strong argument that he has the two best wins in heavyweight history, and that they were twenty years apart.

Let that sink in.

It doesn't matter whether you like the 70s heavyweights, or the 90s heavyweights better, because he has nothing left to prove in either era.

His resume is a bit thin in both eras, but if you lump both careers together into an amorphous dollop, then it is better than average for a top ten heavyweight.

Frankly if things had taken a radically different direction, he might just have been the GOAT.

I'd include Johnson if pre-20s rules applied. As much as my nerdy ass would love to put someone like Sullivan and Jeffries in due to their size and highly acclaimed ring ability in their own time, there just isn't enough footage to give us an idea on how they'd fight a modern heavyweight.

 

A solid H2H top 10 is too hard to make. Every man at the top could beat every other man on any given day.
