    the big stage?

we know ggg likes fighting in la...he likes msg....he likes fights with guys where hes the clear headliner....he likes fights with b- level guys......clearly ggg has a comfort zone....guys he knows arent great...in his prefered venue...where he knows the crowd is for him

but is it possible that ggg fears going to vegas...to the mgm on the big stage against a guy thats been there a few times before? does he fear the unkown?

Is there really any need for this? Can't you post this in one of the other million GGG threads you post in?

    well im serious Jacko

i mean...does ggg prefer to mingle with the B crowd? does he like playing in triple a? i just dont get it

canelo has fought floyd....hes coming off another big ppv with a future hall of famer in cotto....and hes got another big ppv coming up in may...

canelo is a boss...hes calling shots...making boss moves

ggg will be fighting wade on BAD for 2 mil.....thats not like bottom of the barrel stuff....but its levels below where canelo has gone

is ggg afraid of going there with someone whos been under the bright lights? is ggg afraid of not having the entire arena just there to see him? to root for him?

alot of overseas guys....calzaghe...it was his dream to come to vegas and have a big fight....now we all now what those fights were....they werent ideal....but at least joe accomplished his dream........even froch stated he wanted to do it...unfortunately he didnt get a shot

now heres a guy like ggg...hes obviously fighting in america now.....but i see no plans for him to go vegas ...the big show....he has nothing ahead of him that would suggest hell ever go there either......

First of all, lets get this sorted now; i have seen you twice today call Canelo's fight with Khan a big PPV fight. It will be big, numbers wise, but lets not pretend Canelo fighting a light hitting, unproven WW with one of the worst chins in boxing, a big fight for boxing.

None of us can answer your question fully as we arent GGG, but, like most fighters who have fought in big arenas, they usually just see a new arena as another arena. Yes, it is nice to fight in a place where past greats have fought, but it rarely has any negative impact on the fighter.

Come on, man, we both know what you are doing here.

    nah man...im serious

when watching how ggg approached the ward fight...and how hes approaching this fight....i dont think ggg likes being out of his comfort zone

he didnt wanna fight ward....prob because he wasnt sure of himself and he wouldnt have been the favorite...

he doesnt wanna meet canelo despite a canelo fight solving multiple problems for him.....seems like he might not like a place where the fans arent on his side entirely....against guys who have been on the big stage before

didnt i say "might"?....im not sure of it...i just think its not out of the realm of possibility......with the way he acts

didnt this guy say "154 for a big ppv fight" a little over a year ago?

is canelo not a big ppv fight? didnt his fans claim hes not a big mw anyway when they vouched for his duck of ward?

all he has to do is lose a few lbs and kick canelos tail right? seems simple......yet for some reason he doesnt want to and his fans seem more than ok with it

    jacko...

why does a guy at 34, with his weak resume, seem content?

hes content with doing an ibf mando.....content with maybe having the wbc belt handed if canelo vacates.....and then fighting billy joe saunders...or taureano johnson........why is he relativley ok with wasting more time?

its easy....beat canelos ****! then he gets the belt...and some nice money...and hes hit a target ppv audience....its a no friggin brainer

instead hes saying "nope..wont go below 160 limit for canelo"

canelo will keep going and still do big fights and big ppvs....and ggg will keep going doing the same B crowd nonsense....

GGG was daft to say he would go to 154. I think if it was a fight with Floyd then he would be more inclined as, even if the weight loss weakens him, he probably won't get badly hurt as Floyd out classes people rather than beating them up. Canelo, whilst not a huge puncher, still hits hard enough to seriously damage a drained fighter.

GGG should also be called out on wanting to fight Ward at a cw. That was a ***** move.
Likewise, Canelo is pulling a ***** move by demanding a cw. It is dangerous and doesn't help the sport in the slightest.

As for GGG's more ardent fans; i really couldn't give a **** about them. They are as delusional as the GGG haters.

Also, we can discuss the pros and cons of this all we want, but the fight still might take place at 155, 160 or somewhere in between. I try not to follow sactioning body politics too much, but i am sure i read that the WBC will let Canelo have one more fight and then purse bids between Canelo and GGG will happen next.
