Canelo outweighed GGG every fight night yet he claimed he was a 154 fighter & GGG a middleweight lol
I hope Jermell kicks his butt IF they ever get to fight. Don't like either of them but Charlo is Texan so that makes him OK

ROFLMAO GGG cleaned Gingers clock TWICE & got robbed so he just played with him on fight 3 earned some easy $$$$$$$$$ & left the ring unmarked & not even breathing heavy. Ginger was gasping for air he was shattered lol.
Oh & Maidana left Floyd in tears with Ellerbe caressing & consoling him. Floyd claimed "it was unfair that Maidana beat him up & roughed him up yet the ref did nothing to stop him" ROFL Floyd was used to Cortez being his Mother Hen protecting him while he danced & ran & the Vegas judges made sure he got the decision, He didn't think he really had to FIGHT!!!!!!

Floyd claimed "it was unfair that Maidana beat him up & roughed him up yet the ref did nothing to stop him“. That was it. Maidana kicked his ass and got robbed. The one fight I felt Weeks did a great job at.

He was fairly clearly the best MW of the second decade of this century.

I think that alone admits him to the ATG club.

At the end of things, it very much depends on how you define ATG.

In other words, Ward did not want to fight Golovkin at 168, like I said.

They fought at middle, not welter.
It shows that he was able to cut weight effectively, that's all. Trinidad and Oscar were likewise little guys going up to a bigger division.

Whoops, yes I did. It's on his record. He lost to a bum. As you said, the record doesn't lie. Golovkin has a better record.

Yeah he's an ATG, I don't really think that's up for debate. He was clearly the dominant middleweight of his era and reigned for a long time. Sure his competition wasn't that impressive but you can only fight those available in your era and in that regard he fought everyone that would fight him. So he has to be regarded as one of the true great middleweights on dominance and length of reign alone.

Now how highly he ranks is harder to define as the criteria is subjective, some will say his dominance alone wasn't enough as he lacks any great wins and the first truly great fighter he fought gave him 3 close fights but by then he was already on the slide if we're honest. He also never moved up in weight like so many other great middleweights who proved they could beat bigger men. I think it's hard to rank him that high because of these reasons, best lower half of the top 10 at worst maybe top 15.

That's exactly what I mean. What are you even trying to accomplish with saying that ? It just solidifies my point further. He fought an unranked career Welterweight at Middleweight, who had zero preparation bouts at 160 or 154, who had never even fought a Middleweight aside from GGG and never would again, and therefore wasn't ever ranked in the division. No matter how you try to sketch it, it's not a win anywhere near like Trinidad's or Oscar's at Middleweight, both of whom had tune up fights to fight Hopkins (And they're just superior to Brook anyway), in comparison to Brook who immediately moved up two divisions.

It wasn't even at Middleweight, Hopkins was above the Light Heavyweight limit and his opponent was just below it. So he still had only two losses at Middleweight, against Roy Jones and Jermain Taylor, when he wasn't anywhere close to his prime in either. One is superior to GGG in almost every way, and the other one is better than anyone GGG ever officially beat aside from arguably Jacobs.

And again 13 wins > 9 wins in ranked men
    Three divisional # 2's > one
    Two divisional # 1's > zero

Those are not subjective opinions. They are actual stats. And they prove Hopkins' superiority to your hero. Is it really that hard to accept ? Just because your hero is not as great as other Middleweights doesn't mean you should admire him any less.

His debut that he lost, a 4-round Majority Decision, was fought at Light Heavyweight. So that's irrelevant as it pertains to his career at Middleweight.
