I'm glad i got a chance to clearify to you that Boxrec doesn't recognize the WBA organization at all, or you might be running around telling people there were never any WBA champs throughout boxing history because its not on boxrec. Now you know.

Oh yeah I forgot about the time Golovkin defended the WBA interim title against

    Grzegorz Proksa
    Makoto Fuchigami
    Lajuan Simon
    Kassim Ouma
    Nilson Julio Tapia

    Back to back

Thanks. GGG was far better than the other champs, Martinez, Lee, Chavez jr, Kid Chocolate, Sturm, Geale, those Saunders. I think he stops them all. Golovkin was the Real Deal.

He was elevated to WBA regular because Sturm was being protected from him, being promoted to super champ. His lowest level title defense is WBA regular, a legit belt.

I actually didn't know that thank you but 20 defenses is still pretty bogus he didn't really step up against decent contenders until Gabriel Rosado. Just looking at his record right now the only names you could even bring up outside of Canelo without feeling embarrassed are probably Lemieux and Jacobs. And its not like he was defending quote unquote the Championship like Carlos Monzon or someone like that and least Hopkins actually gathered all the belts and was undisputed. Nobody really brings up Golovkin defending the WBA belt. You're honestly the first person I've seen really try to brag about that.

Simon went 12 with Abraham for the IBF title, legit for Abraham, taken out in one by GGG.

Call him what ever you want. He tore through contenders in a way seldom seen. The way i look at it, he was one of the great one's . He would be on the middleweight all-star team. Would he win all his fights vs greats from the past, we would have to see. He's no chump, he could hang.

Best I can give you is Golovkin was a H2H great. ATG thats different though that requires more objective accomplishments and things like that.

Why not, fighters who dared get in the ring with him wanted the WBA belt. Proksa was ranked in the top 10 by the Ring. As Golovkin was fighting Ring magazine top 10 fighters i was taking note. When GGG came on the scene alot of those fighters he totally destroyed were in the top 10 of the Ring magazine. My point, he was a breath of fresh air to boxing and totally unexpected by me.

He got robbed of his greatest wins and has a great knock out title defense record. Some may have been able to defeat GGG'S competition If they can make the weight 20 times succesfully, but its highly unlikely that they would stop any where near as many and in such an impressive fashion. Hopkins has 20 defenses but not nearly as many Ko's. That kind of stuff people remember.

Yeah I dont care what other people say, its not at all outlandish to give one out of the middle rounds to Canelo lmao. Im fine with 8-4 though.
