I haven't read anything offical yet but Billy C says that GGG's people are in negotiations with Quillen if Chavez doesn't happen. I am surprised that Kid Chocolate would be open to this fight so I am a bit skeptical.

Its not officially official that its off, but yeah... its probably off.

Schaefer said publicly after the Konecny farce that K2 should send an offer, that they were ready to fight even if it had to be on HBO. Loeffler intended to take that topic up with HBO this Monday and try to get HBO on board. No word how that talk went, but K2 has said in the past that they thought they could get HBO on board for a unification bout even with a GBP guy.

    Yeah. :-(

Apparently after Haymon minions started whispering in his ear, JR priced himself out.

I bet JR gets to sit on the bench until his TR contract is up or gets the minimum his contract specifies... probably ends up eating his way up to Cruiser by that time. When he finally goes to sign with Haymon, gets told "46 million dollars? I meant pesos. Or Yen, whichever you prefer"

According to Steve Kim Twitter, Top Rank told Jr. no contract, no problem... it will just be a smaller guarantee.... sign an extension and get a higher guarantee... Chavez didn't want to do it.

GGG cannot get a big fight. It really seems like some higher boxing authority is freezing him out.

The whiteboy got lucky. Chaves Jr. would've smashed his jaw to pieces.

Bob Arum and Chavez Jr making business decisions instead of making a big fight.
"Business first" fans rejoice in the streets because another good fight went down the shitter.
