I grew up in an environment with mandatory bible study. That class was a rocky road for me :p

God doesn't want to help GGG because he's too busy helping keep Floyd Mayweather and Andre award undefeated, telling Manny Pacquiao how much longer he should fight, helping Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko, helping all those NBA, NFL, and MLB teams win, and all those other athletes and sports teams win.

Oh and also dealing with starvation, wars, AIDS, cancer, Ebola, and slavery. But sports comes first.

    Same here.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic or nice but I do believe that most religious people are decent people who just use religion to help them be happier and treat people decently.

Then there's the smaller portion that are so judgmental, conveniently pick their passages so they can judge others and excuse themselves, and worse, the extremists who are violent.

I always shake my head or laugh when athletes so often imply that God cares so much about sports. I liked one of Freddie Roach's quotes, he said something to the extent of "I don't know if there's a God, but if there is, I think he has other things to care about than a boxing match".

I also liked the line in He Got Game when Ray Allen is complaining about athletes always talking about God, and Denzel asks what's wrong with that. He replies "how come he's never talked about in the loser's locker room?"

Evander Holyfield with his "I have to fulfill God's prophecy and knock Lewis out in the 3rd round". I think Mr. 11 kids with 6 women even said he didn't use condoms because it's against his religion.

One of the best was when a Stevie Johnston dropped a crucial pass at the end of the game and went on Twitter and blamed God for dropping the pass. LOL
