Is GGG just a MW prince Naseem?

I agree with all this, but the discipline and focus required for maintaining balance with his movement was thus high. Balance is thus one of the major things to be effected, and it truly was unnecessarily so post-Ingle.
Otherwise yes, all three had styles that were a threat, particularly Marquez. I think Hamed could have potentially edged Morales.

Hamed was past his prime by that point. He was struggling with guys like Augie Sanchez and had lost any interest in training.

Another difference is that no one ducked Hamed and everyone is ducking GGG.

If Hamed fought Barrera in his prime it would have been a tedious staring contest imo.

Marquez would have been more interesting, considering his struggles with Pacquiao's straight left in the first fight.

The Hamed who fought Barrera might have been able to beat Morales in a war. In his prime I think he's got it.

He shamelessly ducked marquez who would have won all 12 rounds.

In the same time frame - meaning about 2 1/2 years going into the Hamed fight, Kevin was stopped by Alejandro Gonzalez and drew with both Tommy Parks and Clarence Adams.

I already stated that, but then after the Alejandro loss and after the draws, he continued a great winning streak. 'Drew with Tommy Parks' quick boxrec'ing I take it.
....the fight was finished in round 2. Parks is a rubbish fighter anyway.

I haven't seen Kelley-Adams for myself to assess the validity of the draw, but fair enough. Adams was a good fighter.

As in, a really really good fighter who happens to lose to a great one?

Possible, I guess. I dont think theres a great fighter Golovkins size to prove or disprove the comparison. And I dont think a fighter reaching the level of a Hamed is all that bad either.

Boxing fans really dont have a whole lot of practicality when assessing fighters achievements.

Did u see Gonzalez? He beat Kevin quite convincingly before Hamed did. His son just lost to Carl Frampton.

He didn't just lose. His style and lack of skill got exposed by a well schooled fighter.

I got to see him fight at Foxwoods casino vs Augie Sanchez. The guy was so small in person it was almost unbelievable he could generate so much power. When he scored the knockout punch it sounded like someone shot a gun. If nothing else Hamed has to be talked about as one of the hardest punching lighter weight fighters ever!

I respect both of them very highly. But with these haters around, what can GGG do to elevated to elite? When he beats Lemieux, Lee, Canelo and Quillin, he will still be hated by marginal ESB "fans".

I'm not really sure what the argument/disagreement here is.

I'm talking about Hamed's fundamental mistakes that he made even before his falling out with Ingle and he was known to half-ass it in training.

His balance issues led to knockdowns, I never said otherwise, I brought up the first Kelley KD. He threw some shots at Kelley who was in the corner, then tried to lean back and shifted his weight towards his back, leaving him off balance and he got dropped. It's been awhile since I saw the Johnson fight, but from what I remember, his gloves touched the canvas after Johnson hit him but the ref didn't call a KD, and again, it was Hamed's fundamental flaws causing this due to his balance and the way he was loading up on a shot.

He had his hands by his side against Alicea and tried to duck and lean back from a follow up right hand and the right hand dropped him.

He was constantly getting caught against Medina with his hands on his sides, leaving his chin exposed, being off balance.

His technical flaws in defense and balance were always there, they just became even more pronounced when he started feuding with Ingle, slacking off in the gym, and basically letting the money and success get to him.

Oh yes because Legendary Nights said so. And we all know fights are made in interviews and not with contracts and lawyers.

Legendary Nights also said one judge gave every round in Arguello-Pryor 1 to Arguello, and that Chavez-Taylor 2 was one-sided.

Such thorough and accurate research, they must have verified their stories with facts and interviews, like Pryor's post-fight interview against Lennox Blackmoore when he talks about turning down a Leonard fight. Also thorough research about Pryor being avoided by the big names and how he was never offered any fights from any of them.

Gonzalez-Kelley was pretty brutal. Kelley did score a KD and had a bit of a rally but damn that was a grueling fight.

Kelley was in some terrific fights:

    Dorsey 1
    Gonzalez
    Gainer 1
    Hamed
