like it or lump it, since GGG became champ in 2014 he has faced at least 50% the best he can. This is a fine record for the last 3 years.

I don't think so Golovkin is a better technical boxer as Kovalev. On the otherside Golovkin is on the decline

GGg is tons better than Kovalev. Beterbiev is the one to watch.

Because he fought better opponents. Not Brook and Vanes, Rosado, Macklin. Even Boone would be a top name on Golovkins resume.

although canelo would be a top name on krushers too, but ys krusher fought more because hes been at the top longer.

    3G 2014-2018

    Krusher 2013-2018

though also because during that time he fought as best he could, true.

Kovalev's resume is better but GGG's the better fighter overall, mostly because of his chin and stamina. If Kovalev didn't have those issues I'd say he's better but they bring him down a lot.

Actually Kova popped up onto the scene a bit after GGG.

Golovkin is just a better technical fighter. His footwork, Jab, balance, timing and punch variation is better

You see I wanna think that way too but Kovalev's got a better record versus boxers up until his last two losses. He arguably outboxed Ward who's better than anyone GGG faced technically, shut out Hopkins (yeah old man but still), destroyed Pascal. Though he did have a tougher night vs Chilemba.

GGG on the other hand barely beat Jacobs and got outboxed badly by Canelo on a couple of occasions.

wel maybe but its the world level thats important, not bumkilling.

kovs bumkilling ended with white, 3G's ended with Geale. Since then they have been worthy of the world scene.

The way I see it, the wins that really put them on the map were Macklin for GGG and for Kovalev it's Cleverly. Both were unknown beforehand although GGG had a bit of hype surrounding him, Kovalev was almost completely unknown though except for hardcores and even came into the Cleverly fight as an underdog I believe.

You can go back a bit further though, the first non bum/journeymen each faced was Campillo for Kova and Proksa for GGG. In both instances GGG was a bit earlier.

You can disagree with that, depending on how you rate the fighters, ain't going to argue but I remember people (incl myself) being aware of GGG a little bit before Kovalev.
