This really is going off at a tangent. Yeah... whilst there is no real argument that our ultimate Hominid ancestors evolved in Africa, the origin of modern human populations remains under discussion.

Regardless, the superficial physical differences that divide us are relatively minor and whatever the original dynamic of the spread of human populations we have become essentially a genetically fairly homogenous global species.

Whether multi regionalism is a closest fit scenario to human population spread is kinda moot in the end. Even multiregionalist theories allow that there must have been very significant amounts of genetic flow between the regional populations. What can ya say? We all like to f#ck.:yep

But there isn't? That's why geneticists classify human groups as 'world populations' - because specified groups - whether Asian or European - are largely homogeneous. There's relative admixture within classified groups, but in plain English, an Asian is going to be more closely related to another Asian than a European.

Ok, but here is the problem. Homo-Sapiens Sapiens ARE modern humans. The branches who came before Homo-Sapiens Sapiens are NOT modern humans. Homo-Sapiens Sapiens evolved in East Africa. There is no way around this simple FACT.

The point is that under multiregionalism modern humans are an AMALGAM of ancient hominids, albeit they're predominantly Homo Sapien.

I don't know why you're being so aggressive and hostile - I'm just trying to shed some light if anyone's interested...

Well that only makes sense because Asian populations are closer geographically.

    Well that's the point...

That's the basis of population homogeneity.

All the other ancient hominids also came from Africa. Some left Africa just as we did.

If modern humans are Homo-Sapiens Sapiens then modern humans evolved in East Africa - seeing as Homo-Sapiens Sapiens evolved in East Africa.

Now, are you suggesting that modern Non-Africans are NOT Homo-Sapiens Sapiens?

No they didn't - the most obvious one is Homo Neanderthal who evolved in Asia Minor, for example.

But then that's also the problem with the multiregional postulation. It ignores simple facts and requires a certain amount of logical gymnastics...

No I'm not. Modern humans are Sapiens but we're no longer considered singularly Sapien - the species is not as rigid as you're perhaps hinting at. Through multiregionalism, it's believed there's a diverse range of other hominid ancestries that constitute modern humans. Albeit the principal species is still Homo Sapien.

No they didn't, as I said, Neanderthal evolved in Asia Minor.

They evolved into Neanderthal in Asia. Their origins and ancestors came from Africa just like every other Hominid.

    It's pretty orthodox now.
