Exactly, the problem is that Cisco is presupposing that specie is pretty rigid, when in actual fact it can be fluidic. For example there's no conflict in saying that modern humans are an amalgam of ancient hominids whilst maintaining that our species is Homo Sapiens - it just means that historically there's been some admixture.
Your skills as a logical gymnast are simply amazing. Since when did I ask about a subspecies of Homo-Sapiens Sapiens? I asked specifically what subspecies of HOMO-SAPIENS do modern Non-Africans belong. Would you care to answer the question that was asked or are you going to keep up the acrobatics?
Yes, and the only people who would argue in favor of "race" are those willing to perform logical gymnastics, as you have done...
Honestly I don't think WinstonBarry agrees that all modern humans are Homo-Sapiens Sapiens. I've posed the question to him twice and he hasn't answered definitively in the affirmative.
It makes sense and I do understand - like I say, I want to try and wrap my head around the subject a little more completely before entering into a debate (I'm a little outta practice) but significant in the quote was the term 'frequently' - now - how frequently? How significant is it statistically? These things probably require a little more investigation - but the point being made appears relatively clear. Anyways - like I say. I'd rather not get into a discussion where I might go beyond the bounds of what I understand clearly, but it was interesting talking nonetheless.:good
Saying GGG is asian is as stupid as saying hes white. Hes mixed. Plus what hes doing isn't as amazing as what Pacquaio did or Mayweather for that matter. Still GGG is an amazing talent and fun to watch. Now if he moves up through the divisions and wins titles at HW then he'd have equaled or surpassed what Pacquiao did. I don't see that happening though.
Well, I suppose they're significant enough that groups can cluster - if they couldn't cluster then you wouldn't have population groups in the first place !! I only tentatively understand this topic as well - it's not really a major topic of interest for me to be honest: I'm just familiar with the overall trends / points within the subject. I couldn't make heads or tails of any formal literature on the topic for example!
There was nothing aggressive or hostile about the question I posed. You've kept dodging it so I will just accept your surrender on the issue.
Similar to me. I've an overall interest in human population growth and movements, anthropology, lingustic and cultural evolution and if you like the 'broad sweep' of human history and evolution, but the science is really making me work. - Fortunately I still have a sideline in proof-reading medical and scientific papers (mainly for non-english speakers) - so I've got a heads up in deciphering the often arbitrarily obtuse language used in academic papers despite most of my own knowledge having rotted on the vine over the past coupla decades.
Right, because there are absolutely zero powerful and strong Asian athletes competing in any sport? It's a ridiculous suggestion that his power is without a doubt from his Russian genetics. And on the matter of his race, why is it so hard for people to acknowledge the fact one parent is white and the other Asian, thus making him biracial. My father is Russian like GGG's is, while my mother is Jamaican, I'm sure a lot of you closet racists wouldn't be so quick to suggest I was white, but of course it's perfectly OK for your hero GGG. Just call mixed race people what they are and erase the needless confusion.
I never disputed that, north Americans generally refer to half black half white people as black. I know the history behind it considering the racist one drop rule and its cultural survival. Did you not get the point of my post? Saying GGG is white yet I'm black makes no logical sense. Were mixed race people, end of story. Its not like there is a culturally cemented idea that part white part Asians are white, in fact I'd say the opposite is more likely to be suggested.
Sure it does. Negro D.N.A has a more pronounced impact on phenotype. It is pretty safe to say that you appear far more Black than Golovkin does Asiatic.
