How about you look at it from a non bias pov and take into account the other fighters circumstances.

Tried to drain Ward down to 164. Ward had periods of inactivity coupled with sub par opposition coearly the best time to fight him while he is rusty. GGGs camp said Ward does not call the shots though it was GGG who said he would fight anyone up to 168.

Froch sought GGG fight after first fight with Groves HBO ( networks fault) said no the fight wasn't big enough in America.
Froch sought fight the second time wanted a check the bucket list fight in America Loeffler said the fight had to be in the UK.
Froch met loeffler and asked about 172 Loeffler said no Froch said that even if offered 168 GGGs camp is waiting for Canelo.

BJS made 2 offers one was cheaper but GGG would have to fight him in the UK. GGG said he doesnt want to fight him in the UK. BJS says they never offered him either amount of money.

Possible fight with JMW king Lara not big enough but lesser fighters are.

While with Universum he never pressed for a title shot legally.

GGG was happy to collect and step aside instead of fighting Cotto.

I am not saying that GGG could not beat some of these fighters. Are there more than enough fighters at MW who have avoided him? Of course but there are many instances where fighters around his weight class have tried to get a fight and GGGs camp has dropped the ball. Does it mean he "ducked" anyone no it doesn't but when fighters of this caliber are seeking a fight or you are willing to step aside and collect a check you must not be "the most avoided fighter in boxing".

You can't duck someone that does not fight in your division. Just like GGG isn't ducking Lara who has been calling him out. It is only a duck when a fight is ordered and a fighter pulls out like how Canelo acted. Unless Lara moves up and gets in line it is not a duck but by the post you agreed withs logic it is a duck. So GGG is ducking Lara because Lara called him out?

Big fights are hard to make when spanning different weight classes especially when both fighters act like prima donnas and think their Aside instead of making the fight like Ward and GGG. Saying the fighter you aren't a fanboy of ducked because the fight didn't happen while your fighter was also to blame is childish. This is a sport and circumstances for both fighters should be allowed not just what fighter you have posted all over your bedroom.

 

no. its just that now fighters are allowed to duck their fiercest rivals. Mayweather set the blueprint and many fans just accept it. It's business as usual and fighters want unmerited paydays, for not losing to mediocre opposition. They fear a loss, not Golovkin.

 

And Lemieux went in there to win. He didn't do well, but I thought he was doing better in the round that the fight was stop. Plus, he said in recent interviews that he wants to fight GGG again. GGG has nothing to win to fight Lemieux again, but since Lemieux did give him a favour somehow, GGG might just return it.

 

You should tear down the GGG posters in your bedroom and become a boxing fan.

Whats sad is that I am a GGG fan but this logic is laughable.


GGG calls someone out that is not in his weight class.

GGG fanclub: That fighter is ducking GGG afterall GGG called him out and the fight did not happen.

A fighter outside of GGGs weight class calls GGG out.

GGG fanclub: They need to enter GGGs division and get in line for a shot. It is not a duck.

I am a boxing "fan". When I see a great fighter I cannot help but support them. Not go on some crusade, bending over backward to rewrite history and run them into the ground when clear evidence suggests otherwise.


Not saying that is you: In fact you seem one of the more reasonable regulars on this dying site. That is why it suprized me when you gave credence to Lara's lame call outs and then claimed Froch did more to make the fight with GGG than otherwise.
