He will fight on for 3-5 years, and he fights around 3 times a year. He's got time.

I think he can perform on top for 3 more years. The sad think is that it took so long until he got to the top.
The Golovkin of 2009 would beat all the top fighters of that time

if you look at the rankings of 2009 I see only Pavlik who might had given GGG a fight.

    Kelly Pavlik, Champion
    1Felix Sturm
    2Paul Williams
    3Sebastian Sylvester
    4Khoren Gevor
    5Matthew Macklin
    6David Lopez
    7Anthony Mundine
    8Daniel Geale
    9Sebastian Zbik
    10Ronald (Winky) Wright

I mentioned this fact on one of my post regarding GGG, he is NOT a kid , Cotto is basically the same age, and their resumes can't be so far apart...Cotoo champion in 3 weight classes, on hid way to the HOF...and GGG star dun is JUST starting...I mentioned people might compared him to the Cuban, Manteqilla Napoles...but even Napoles was more accomplished at 33...already defending his WW title he won from Curtis Coke, losing and regaining it...moving to MW fighting the great Carlos Monzon losing, and continued to defend his WW tittle 4 more time, retiring at 35.... So maybe the comparison stopped on the fact that GGG fans think everyone is ducking him....

They have been saying Hopkins to old when he was in his 30's and now he will be 50 and still beating the top level fighters. So GGG I say could still have a long great future ahead.

I don't know. I'll ask him when we eat dinner at Denny's together, tomorrow afternoon.

He should have some better names on his resume by now in my opinion, but it will be forgiven if he fights live dogs from here on out. He will need to fight a guy like Ward to legitimize himself as a P4P king type of fighter

    LOL.

Cotto has way more wear and tear than GGG does.

...Provided he doesn't fall in love with his power, and with the idea of taking everyone out. That's really my one concern about him at the moment.

No doubt, but he also accomplished far more than GGG at 32...let's face it age is NOT on GGG side...again by 32 most boxers already established their legacies... GGG has not even done nothing to start his legacy!

True. Having that kind of power is a double-edged sword, but he's shown more discipline with it than the others who've had it. He usually waits until the other guy lands something before he decides how much he can loosen up and trade, but it is something to keep an eye on as he develops.

Golovkin is already past prime but it doesn't matter because he's a killer with a lot of skill which will probably serve him until he is 40 provided he doesn't move up and ruin his punch resistance.

he's up there in age after just getting himself out there to the wider public. but, he doesn't have any wear and tear on him so he should be good for another 4 years or so.

his career would look much better at this point if he wasn't seriously ducked the way he is. hopefully though, he starts to get the big fights to really leave some kind of legacy behind.

the vast majority of Carl Froch's work came about AFTER the age of 32. so it's not all bad for Gennady. plenty of time left for him to do a lot work for his legacy.
