Is Glazkov vs. Charles Martin the weakest heavyweight title fight in history?

    John Ruiz - Fres Oquendo, Valuev - Beck, Carnera - Loughran were pretty bad as well, but this fight has to be among the worst. I mean, neither of these fighters have done anything in their careers so far to suggest they would deserve to win a title.

    That fight sucked so bad, but Byrd was a legit champion. I am not sure if I can say the same about Glazkov or Martin...

    Joke fight and the winner does not deserve the accolade world heavyweight champion. Surprised Fury or Wlad are not taking them to court.

    Glazkov has been gifted decisions, but at least he's fought a couple of ranked fighters.
    Martin's last 5 fights, Boxrec ranked are;
    187, 248, 96, 493 and 326
    Way to get a title shot.....

    ..as an aside, it looks like Charles is pulling out of the Breazeale fight

    They must have found a pulse when doing Breazeale's medical.

    Well it makes sense.
    His fight with Breazeale was considered pretty much a 50/50 fight.

    Why risk it when he has a world title fight lined up?

    It also helps that he and Breazeale also have the same "advisor"

    Yes. I can't think of any weaker and none of the posted selections from other bloggers are remotely as bad as this. Valuev, Arreola, Stiverne, Byrd, Williamson, and Oquendo would all beat both of these fighters. Glazkov has a fringe top 10 resume based on favorable decisions and catching fighters at the right time, but would probably lose to at least 15 active hws. Martin is a prospect at best. The IBF has proved itself the most corrupt, biggest joke of an alphabet title in boxing with this bs move.
