Is Glen Johnson an "old school" fighter?

well whats old school?

people have been beaten up with gloves for around 120 years. he doesnt have the flash. but not all modern day fighters have flash.

is it just becuase he is slow and plods that he is regarded as old school?

Johnson beat Dawson.

 

close fight, could have gone either way, i like Dawsons combination punching, but Johnson impressed coming forward and even stunning Chad.

 

Johnson is a wrecking ball that doesn't stop coming and has great conditioning......unfortunately he did ease down in the middle rounds and let dawson dance a little....most likely to conserve energy because he IS human and his age IS factor but he still gave him hell.

Just finished watching the fight and i had it a draw.

If dawson had stayed outside and jabbed effectively he would've clearly won.

If johnson had kept an aggressive pressure like he would've had he been 35 he would've kayoed dawson.

Great fight and there should be a rematch.

 

I would say his style takes you back, he could have fought in almost any era and not looked out of place.
