This is my first time to hear a boxing match to be held in China which is not actually a haven for boxing. Is this a joke to humor Golotards who are incessantly praying for a Golota fight. Tell me it isn't so.
I'll only answer you, if you tell me where you got your avatar from It's a Don King show, he wanted to put Holyfield-Ruiz III in China for a while but didn't. He feels there's an untapped market there. For Golota, he wants to keep Don happy and keep himself busy, so off to China he's gone.
You never know, maybe a lot of people will show up. They had a few gold medalists coming out of China I'm sure this event will sell over there. Don King knows what he's doing by setting it up there, if it wasn't going to sell and wasn't going to generate interest it wouldn't happen there.
His staying active is not my point. What I am asking is why China, a place not proven for professional boxing event? Is this an experiment? Or just a joke on Golota?
Don King promised a card in China when he was in the Olympics...so he is keeping true.I think Barrera is fighting on the card too.Besides asians are suckers for marketing, they buy anything from T-Shirts to action fighures. In Japan for example Bob Sapp is ''a great K-1 fighter'':rofl
China seems a good place to invest on. Imagine if China catches the fever, they will be training millions of kids just to study boxing! like they do the other sports!
But this fight was set even before the Olympics. I just hope this will happen because I am curious to see if Golota can still fight competitively.
I spoke to both Don and Carl King when they where in Germany for Valuev - Ruiz II and both seemed to be really serious when I asked them about their event in China. Though, they didn't know who to match with Golota or Briggs (though, they didn't even know if Shannon would be even in shape to fight there). If I remember correctly, Carl told be about 2-3 former Chinese Olympians to turn pro and also to have a women fight on the card. Golota might be fed someone like Owen Beck...
