Sadly he has just lost his case for being a decent elite tonight, so how can he be HoF yet? This is awful news. I am going to bed. I still believe he will beat an elite one day though, and beomce HoF.

most HoFers win more than one title in the ring. 3G won one title in the ring.

But you guys forget that 3G isnt finished, and will easily rack up more titles at MW and SMW over the next few years, just watch. and learn how a true champ comes back.

^ this. There are very few fighters that are genuinely appreciated in their own lifetime.

noone should be HoF when they are still active, its silly to ask, I've said it many times befor, and there are very very few exceptions.

Wait till 3G is finished. When he wins SMW titles as I predict, then you will see his true nature. He will dominate SMW, I tihnk MW is not realy his ideal weight that why he was number 2 to Canelo all this time.

Ray Mancini and Arturo Gatti are in the IBHOF. That right there should give you an idea on how lax it is to make it into the Hall of Fame.

He's a sure fire 1st ballot HOF'er. He falls short of being an ATG in my opinion for mainly 2 reasons: He turned pro way too late after a very lengthy amateur career. The second reason is he didn't fight high level challenges until he was in his mid 30's.

The 2 most recent ATG fighters- Manny and Floyd- fought many top guys from their 20's on. Gennady turning pro so late put him behind the 8 ball as far as carving out an ATG legacy. Great fighter though, no doubt about it.

only a fool makes someone ATG or HOF when they are still active, outside the top ones like Manny/May
