Is Golovkin a ''small'' middleweight relative to the current weightclass roster?

He's the perfect sized middleweight. End of story. Not small, not big. He remains in shape and doesn't have to cut much because of this. Something a lot of boxers DON'T do.

You couldnt imagine Andy Lee or Macklin ever making 160 either - but they did.
I think GGG could make 154 at a pinch. Wouldnt recommend it for him at all mind, but he could probably manage it - at least when in his 20's.
Also Id say the most he comes in at is 170-172. Not as high as 175.

He was only 165 at the 30 day weigh in for Brook. Then again, it is your logic. I'll be jiggered if I can make sense of it.

    I actually meant to type:

    "He's not a small MW"

He doesn't look big. Looks about normal. He would be a small 168.

Yeah, fighting against Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia.

    Shup up knob.

And Lemiuex and Wade both were in excess of 175 on fightnight, as was Geale.

GGG hasnt weighed more than 172 unofficially for a single fight.

Brook and GGG weighed the same, 169 unofficially when the bell rang.
