Was sparring this heavyweight yesterday and everytime I threw a jab he would just intercept my arm and lock it in his guard and punch me with the other.

Is that even legal if it were a match? The guy is pretty good boxer but doing that someone who you already outweigh by 40 lbs is an ******* thing to do

its boxing.. sometimes you gotta use 'dirty' tricks. I sometimes step on my opponents foot, push with my elbow etc. You have to know how to do it though. Not legal, but doing once won't get u a DQ

I do that myself; I got their arm under mine.. with my left arm, and just come over with the right hand, hahahahha

Feint the jab; as to make him go for the lock.. then clock him where he is open from it..

If he gets you in it though; I may suggest trying to spin around him (not giving him a real target to hit at with the right hand).

  5. Dirty - yes but apart of boxing. Dirty techniques are in every sport.

In saying that, if he is up close it is your job to prevent his clean effective punching so decide what is clean and what isn't
