He's submitted twice now from non-submissions. Unanswered strikes on the ground against Evans, and a knockdown against Silva.

I was watching one of Igor Vovs early fights the other day, and he was beating the **** out of some Brazilian, whose face was hanging off. But this guy just wouldn't quit. The commentators were speaking about honor, and how a Brazilian fighter would never quit.

So, can you sumbit from non submissions, or is this a lack of heart?

    :think

Well guys submit to save their arm, hell, guys submit to keep from being momentarily being choked out.

You wake up from chokes unharmed, arms heal.

Brains don't heal; makes sense to protect the most important part of your body, especially given that it doesn't heal.

forrest has a big heart,he was smart for not taking anymore punishment, that is rare to see in combat sports most people are just so thick headed and keep taking a beating when they were way out of the fight to begin with....just imagine if he let silva beat on him for 15 minutes, that could scramble his brains

I didnt know he dislocated his jaw during the fight. I didnt see it live because I was visiting family so I watched it on a stream.

I'd never question Forrests heart. Hes been in some brutally violent fights and kept fighting.

And he did himself a huge favour because he was just outclassed.

I dont know why but I actually feel sorry for Forrest. Hes actually not that bad of a fighter, certainly in the striking department. He definitely has some flaws but I think he understands some of the nuances of striking ie. distancing and timing which he showed against Evans.

Didnt he break both his hands against Evans? Now a dislocated jaw? Tough breaks.

The jaw issue really takes away a lot away of the issue, he has tons of heart. When your jaw is ****ed and your brain is scrambled, no shame in stopping defending yorself so that the red stops it.

I think this proves that Arthur Abraham might not be human.

I like Griffin, and he has come through a few times (broken arm, eating rampage's shots etc.) which shows he definitely has heart.

Against Silva however it looked as though he was a beginner get his ass handed to him. Silva laid waste in there and didn't even worry too much about keeping his hands up because Griffin was performing terribly.

I think Silva is the man to beat Machida. It could potentially be an incredibly anti-climatic fight.

When you mention all the injuries Griffin's had, its clear he does have heart.

    Maybe he's mentally weak.

You could be onto something here. I think that like many things- unless you are in the right frame of mind and willing to commit and go all out- you sometimes may pull the pin if things don't go your way.

I think despite all the brave talk from Griffin that once he got into the octagon with Silva and couldn't really land anything significant- things went downhill from there.

I respect the hell out of Silva- but I have a growing need to see someone hang a huge shot on him and prove he's hittable and vulnerable like everyone else...

Watch Igor vs Enson Inoue. Seriously that fight will make any man cringe. Enson despite making it through the round couldnt even stand. The man was beaten to a bloody pulp in one of the most savage matches iv ever seen. Igor was an asbolute animal.

The faster people realise that Griffin is dog**** the better.

I did hear Enson suffered swelling on his brain after that fight. Iv never seen a more brutal fight. 10 minutes he endured of that. Lord alone knows why he thought it was a good idea to trade with Igor.

possibly forrest is done mentally. you can only take so much punishment and he's had some beatings applied to him.

respect any man who gets in a cage/ring/mat to fight.
