He's clearly holding out for more money from Hearn. I suspect that a deal will be struck at the start of March if there is one.

Nope. Groves has played a blinder. He'll get the rematch and a nice cut. And he won't have to sign his life away.

    Late May / early June

Its happening...Groves knew he could hold out for better

Because there is someone who wants this more than George or Carl

    Eddie Hearn

He blew it in the first fight by not finishing Froch off! Cos he couldnt!

IMO It was stopped to early and he deserves a re-match so take it and get on with it!

I thought the rematch had been mandated so I don't see how he can be blowing it? Can't blame Groves for fighting his corner, don't see why people should just put up with wrongs/injustice just because it's happened before or happens often. I think Groves has gone about this the right way. I probably would have done the same if I was in his position.

I'm pretty sure the fight is done and it will be announced this week for May 24th. That what i'm hearing anyway. Froch's brothers tweeted last week that they know something big about this fight. I'm also pretty sure Groves is signing for Matchroom as he put a cheeky comment on twitter about asking Hearn when asked a question by a fan.

Ok, I can see the reason why Froch as Champion would get 85% of the purse against a mandatory ranked outside of the top 3 in the IBF Rankings - however absurd and ridiculous it is that the IBF have refused to rank anyone higher than 3rd in around a year notwithstanding - but what's the logic behind saying he deserves more money because he's older and closer to the end of his career?

I cant wait for this rematch, when Froch prepares like he has never done before, and stops Groves without any controversy this time, within 9 rounds. You will all see, just wait, you will all see.... il be here with a big portion of humble pie, enough to go around :hi:
