Is Guillermo Jones still WBA champ?

    If so, where's he at?, I dont think he's fought since late '08, i thought a mandatory would of been forced on him in that amount of time.

    Yes. He's facing his mandatory Valerie Brudov in the near future. They had been scheduled to fight before, but the fight got postponed due to injury.

    He says he will go on a vacation after all the hard work done in 09.

    The WBA makes up their own fuggin' rules as they go along.

    Exactly. Jones has been sitting on his ass for over a year, Daniel Santos did the same and the WBA don't care. Amir Khan, having just disposed of a pointless mandatory, is now having to fight Maidana an "interim champion" to avoid being stripped of his title.

    Brudov again? How many chance has he had? Virgil Hill and Arslan both beat him easily. At least if he does win he will be somewhat active.
