I never said I had more skills than him. You're really up in some feelings here.

Zelenoff clearly has issues beyond just "mental weakness". He needs medical attention.

He might be willing to take a schooling like a man given the chance. Rigo didn't. He literally folded the first time things got tough for him.

He knew he won’t have chance in that fight in that weight class. He only took the fight because of the money because he was ridiculously underpaid during his career compare that how good he was.

He wasn’t talking any ****, he doesn’t even speak English. It was part of the deal that he has to hype up that fight.

Prime Rigorous vs Loma at 122 is a completely different story.

I'm incredibly envious of Rigo's abilities. I could only dream of having such skill. Doesn't change the fact he bitched out when the going got tough.

How someone reacts to defeat tells you a lot about their character. Easy to plough on when everything is going great. Adversity is what separates the talented from the truly great.

Anyway back on topic - anyone said Golota?

He might, he might not. We will never know because he's never put himself in that situation. I think it is wrong to create a thread about Rigo's situation and critisize Rigo. But, he is well within his rights to express his opinions. You can support the OP if you want. He expressed his opinion, I expressed mine.

If you honestly think I got feelings in some kind of way over what you said LOL You obviously can't take critisism. So I don't like you OP, big deal. Instead of trying to use your words to convince me otherwise, you just say I caught feelings LOL Prove me wrong, convince me you know someting!

Rigo has more heart than the tinman and more courage than the cowardly lion and more mental toughness than that brainless scarecrow, that's for sure.

Two Olympic gold's, two world championship, defects from Cuba, then becomes an accomplished and highly regarded pro...that doesn't exactly sound like the track record of someone who can't overcome adversity. It sounds more like the classic boxing "fan" tactic of focusing the magnifying glass exclusively on the part of a fighter's career that makes him look the worst and defining the rest of it through that lens.

And it's BS. Pure and simple. The man's fought over 500 times in his life and won more than 97% of them.

So the Loma fight turned in to an embarrassment for him. That's one fight. He was also the underdog vs Donaire and got off the floor to win that fight. Would it have somehow proven more if he'd stayed down, lost, and then became champion again?

You're in your feelings. Maybe you should direct yourself to post #1 of this thread.

A fighters character or a persons for that matter shines through during their most adverse moments.

Rigo was floored against Donaire, but it was a flash knockdown and he never lost command of control of the fight. The spirit of the fight always belonged to him.

After the 2nd round against Loma he realized for the first time in his career he bit off more than he could chew. And he realized that he did not have what it took to beat Lomachenko that night. So instead of going out on his shield and fighting like a man he did the opposite. He held, ran and then quit with all his faculties still in order. The spirit of the fight belonged to Loma after the 2nd round. There was only one possible outcome after that round. Loma had downloaded all the information he needed. Rigo knew it and wouldnt take his ass whooping like a man.

Jesus Christ, do you actually believe that was Rigo himself talking crap on his social media pages?

    Facepalm.

Look at how try hard he was during the weigh in.
