It might be turning into a real money fight.

    Haney will move up

It's funny because even Mayweather gave rematches to controversial fights. It's looking like Haney isn't about that life

Devin would have the advantage going into the rematch & would still be the favorite just due to his age with Loma being more worn out.

Maybe not, if he is outgrowing the weight class, then he could have even more of a struggle to make weight the longer he stays at 135 to defend his titles, which could give Loma the edge in a rematch.

No money incentive should be too big

Moving to 140 and fighting a stiff = career over quack.

Haney can't make 135 and not gas out in 8 rounds. He's moving up. Unless Lomachenko wants to follow him up to 140 which I doubt.

Now let's talk the elephant in the room when calling fighters duckers in rematches because Vasily Lomachenko has never rematched anyone ever. He never rematched Salido or Teofimo and he won't rematch Haney either. Please stop it now. He made $5 million dollars this fight and he's 35. He should do a few more and retire to California or Florida with the rest of Eastern European fighters.

They did a completely pointless rematch against Kam but that was because he was champ but now looks like they want none of part 2 with Loma. A true champ would test himself but he hates Loma so looks like he won't fight him again. Either way, fight the other champs or threats at the top at 135. He still has some flaws and whether it's Tank, Stevenson, or even someone like Cruz, it's not gonna get any easier. Lets see what fights get made as he was saying that it not about money but legacy. Legacy shouldn't have question marks where the a lot of people say you lost a fight.

Lopez never intended to rematch Lomachenko. He said he is likely moving to 140 after Kambosos and then lost the belts. The rest is history.

Don't think so. Excuses, excuses, then mentions it somewhere down along the line when Loamchenko is 36/37, but I reckon he moves up to 140 to get bodied first.

The old man Haney already said "we won by a large enough margin a rematch is not necessary". Talk about delusional.

    WTF ?

    He TRIED to rematch Salido.

Salido would have made more money for a Loma rematch than all the rest of his career purses combined.

But he wanted none of it, based I suppose, on how he barely made it to the final bell the first time.

It's not about the money with Loma.

He gave up a piece of his career and went back to Ukraine where his life could have been a stake. Does that sound like money is his priority ?

    It's about legacy.

He feels he was robbed of his legacy.

And most boxing observers agree with him.
