what did mcgirt have to do with paulie being scared of hatton and holding on for dear life, after tasting a big punch in the second round?

    Mostly this.

Although Pac did fight Hatton at Hatton's more comfortable weight but I do think Hatton was slightly less confident than when he was undefeated. So all in all it kinda evens out between the Hatton Pac fought and the one Floyd did.

But yeah Pac has always made his defeated opponent look shot because of the great finisher he is. Because if he can put a hurt on you, he will continue to do so til he breaks you. Also sometimes fighters become shot because their opponent broke them and they never can recover from it physically and/or mentally.

This didn't even start with Oscar either, it started way back to his first Barrera fight. If Barrera didn't come back and put on a great fight with Morales the third time, then the totally shot excuse would have carried through.

    Stupid post.

Anyone with punch resistance would still go down with that punch. It was a punch Hatton did not see, plus the fact that Pac timed it perfectly, putting his weight on it, and landing it flush on the jaw line. If you have seen how contorted Hatton's face in slow motion, you would think it was a jelly being wiggled.

It was not like he was jabbed and hatton fell.

The first knock down was the same punch that landed on Cotto, the right, overhand punch, that Knocked down Cotto as well. Although he was not stunned, he definitely touched the canvas. So Cotto's punch resistance is also tattered to pieces, similar to Hatton?

I never bought into that argument after the pacquiao fight, hatton is shot....pacquiao is just in the ATG realm in his prime at the moment...

Like paulie said in his post fight presser....Hatton is going to take that TKO 11 victory over malignaggi and run with it....The more malignaggi continues to win and look good, same with urango....hatton's legacy will continue to look better.....it does appear paulie could do better against hatton now....but the malignaggi victory imo will become hatton's 2nd biggest win after the tszyu win....

People who would like to discredit Pacs victories are the ones saying that Hatton is shot.

Either way he is not worthy of a top fight anymore, and anyone who beats Ricky just beat a guy who cannot fight top flight competition anymore.

  10. Who knows if he is shot, he seems not like the same ricky before MP and Floyd but like he had a chance against those 2 greats in the first place.

He should be happy to accept his place amonst those 2 men and reign in 3rd place because I think he's one of the best we have providing his ability to recover from those 2 loses.

Malignaggi was probably the easiest fight of his career.

ok let him fight a guy who is taylor made for him and bigger...hatton...hatton should dominate and beating PM twice would catapult him into big fights....surely he will accept the fight and not just jump into another big money embarassment:happy
