Is Hatton really only getting 8 million for this fight?

    Sounds like a good payday. Does anyone know how much Floyd is getting paid and whats the contract with their PPV numbers?

    I 2nd that, wouldnt this be Hattons biggest Payday to date. Give me 8 million to fight Floyd, granted I am at 162 pounds right now boxing. I would damn near have to kill myself to make 147. But for 8 million, I would sure as hell make it. I would go and give it my all, If i lose which 9x's out of 10 I will. I will be 8million dollars richer.

    There's a lot of outside income for big time European boxers, from Euro TV money and advertising and all that. For the Castillo fight there was an article that said Hatton's "purse" was like $2 million but he actually made close to $10 million from the fight due to outside revenue sources

    If he's making a guaranteed $8 million you can bet he's making quite a bit more from European TV and advertising money and probably a percentage of the HBO PPV revenue too

    I say only 8 million because I remember that Hatton was asking for 13 million to fight Mayweather in 2006. This makes me believe that Hatton was either ducking by way of pricing himself out then, or he feels his stock has fallen now. He definately can't feel he is the bigger draw by any means.

    Considering at that point his biggest reported payday was around 3.5 millon, he was DEFINITELY pricing himself out.

    Now it has become clear as day.
