Here's the list... http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=009314&cat=boxer Be honest with yourself so you can look in the mirror and feel like a good man.
His early career was very padded and he took ages to step up due to promotional reasons. His last few have been good but not as good as Floyds Floyd is the first young prime elite fighter Hatton has faced.
he should have fought for a world title much earlier. warren was milking and milking and milking him not sure if he was good enough to be thrown in and making sure he cashed in , just in case hatton did not. it the long run it has hurt warren nore than hatton. watch hatton & warren interviews after these fights and it screams at you that hatton was so frustrated , while warren kept on saying next time next time. the one that stood out the most was the hutchinson fight, where hatton clearly did not want or give a **** about the fight , clearly frustrated and wanting a title fight while warren blustered. hatton could do little about it tied to a contract with the uk`s most powerfull promoter.
Warren did him a disservice defending a ******ed belt for so long. Hes beaten Tszyu and hammered Castillo and is set to fight the P4P#1. Thats not padded
Hatton wanted the protection just as much as Warren did... he's cashing out now. He will lose the next two TRUE challenges (Mayweather and DLH) and ride off into the Manchester perennial sunset on a donkey.
Tszyu was a very tough opponent. Prime? no. But extremely game, and anyone that says he was "washed up" is kidding themselves. Castillo....kinda the same as above. But he was higher in weight then his best and more passed his prime then Tszyu...but still good and still an impressive win. Collazo was a good opponent and a good win....although questionable decision.
i disagree it was warren if hatton wanted protection how come he took by far the hardest titlist at 140 in tszyu and not a gimmee fight like mitchell or corley to win a belt.
Hatton was as annoyed as his fans about the lack of progress, he'd even talk about fighting for a 'proper' world title. He saw his WBO strap for what it was.
Just because he fought and BEAT a Tszyu (downhill version, tainted and ugly) and a Castillo (battle worn, on his way out), it doesn't mean his career wasn't padded at all...
Don't pass the buck to Warren, guys. If Hatton REALLY WANTED to go after the best after 20 or so wins, he would have packed his **** and moved to America. The Grand Stage.
He made 15 defences of the WBU title against lesser opposition, thats VERY padded record. But due to his last 5 fights all being respectable, i voted pretty padded.
do you mean like johhny nelson. he fought in north america and mainland europe and south america and asia and africa and australasia. ammount of respect and recognition he got of most americans for doing so. zilch
