Is Haye-Fury the worst promoted fight of recent times?

The lack of promotion for this fight is disgraceful. You have two guys who can talk themselves up until the cows come home. They should be everywhere getting the word out and slagging each other off. This is supposed to be a big box office fight and its barely registering that its less than a month away. This had the potential to be the biggest hyped fight in many a year but along with Sky fat Mick and the Dark Lord have blown it.

    Mick's a joke of a promoter imo.

Hardly a big deal. The promotion will go into overdrive from next week-August is a difficult month to grab the general publics attention for these types of events.

I have a feeling that that might be a really good fight.

Just a thought but the laidback approach to promotion could suggest that a huge number of tickets and ppvs have already been sold. With just under five weeks left, there's still plenty of time for a final push.

Still plenty of time. Ringside has been having its summer break, the transfer window footy bollox and build up to the season plus the Ashes now finishing means that when the boxing season kicks off again the hype will start to build.

Sky should also want to be more careful how they push Haye's first SBO fight since the Audley and Wlad let-downs into people's faces.

This fight kind of promotes itself, two loud-mouth arrogant guys who can fight and are well known to the greater public. One a slick boxer puncher, the other a big man with a good jab, ambition, and isn't shy about leaning on his smaller opponents either, a throwback heavyweight if you will

but yeah, Hennessys promotion, or lack of promotion for a better tern, is pretty ****in bad, he has the Titanic on his hands, and he's gonna steer it into that big iceberg over there

Tyson has also been very quite and not been on Twitter much like he normally is. Hopefully that means he will have his head on in the fight and listen to Peters instructions

Come the start of September, when the footy transfer window shuts, premier league is in full flow, they will start pushing the hype I reckon. Ads in between sky games etc,it will build I'm sure. If it doesn't then it shows a real lack of conviction from Sky on their boxing interest, which doesn't exactly make sense given their matchroom deal

Think you mean one loud mouth guy. David Haye has been on a humble vibe since the del boy fight if you not noticed. Plus the fight annoucement and fight date were too close together to go down a big Promotional route like the Del Boy and Fraudly fights.

    It's the off season people.

As for Hennessey remember that the fight is being shown on Sky Box Office and not Channel Five so he may not be in a position legally to hype the fight through the usual channels.

2/3 weeks before, they'll push it.

    Fight sells itself really anyway.

Im sort of glad the promo hasnt been to much yet. By the time the froch kessler fight came about I was sick of hearing about it. Im sure it will go into overdrive when ringside starts again.
