Also why are some people trying to include Andre Ward on their list? That is just ludicrous at this stage.

Wlad should be top three in the current circumstances.

I know these lists are very subjective but ring magazine's latest effort is a farce.
I wish I'd never heard of the phrase p4p to be honest.
    You are right about Dawson.
Pacquiao and mayweather are a must on any list but the remaining spaces could potentially be taken up by anyone

Based on victories over washed-up and never was Barrett,(got a gift against absolute ancient and shot Holyfield)Valuev, and mediocre and shot, and one of the most politically connected and biggest boxing thieves in Ruiz?****ing hardly.

Maybe so.The jury is still out.But he did beat the biggest name on Joe Calzaghe's resume outside of past it Hopkins and shot Jones.

I know but Joe got their first before all of Kessler's inactivity problems.
Calzaghe's win against Bika is underrated. As is the win against Eubank, who whilst past his prime was still a dangerous opponent for a 25 year old to face. Robin reid is a decent name.
People were lining up to crucify calzaghe for not fighting Pavlik and then the "past it" Hopkins wiped the floor with Pavlik.

Although he hasn't got the best resume, it isn't exactly weak. Nor is it his fault that he was a big fish in a small pond

All I said was besides past it Hopkins and shot Jones,Calzaghe's biggest name on his resume is Kessler. That's all I wrote.I'm still looking for the part where I'm crucifying Calzaghe over his resume. Now are the 3 that you mentioned bigger wins than Kessler?

Low end of the top 20. He's been a natural heavyweight for a long time who drained like crazy to make it to 200. P4P, I have Adamek rated a little higher still, since he was really a small cruiser.

Blah blah undisputed... he fought two title fights against shitty fighters in the emptiest division in boxing. His exploits at cruiser would land him around 30 P4P if he was lucky.

Blah blah heavy champ... has any heavy title ever been as meaningless as that WBA strap? Has any fighters been as derided for being talentless as Valuev and Ruiz?
Haye's exploits at heavy would rank him in the top 50 P4P if he was lucky.

This thread shows just how rancid Haye's Gays have turned ESB.

I'm certainly not saying that they were bigger than kessler at all.
Nor am I accusing you of crucifying Calzaghe. It was a general comment regarding the common feeling of many about the Pavlik issue.
Sorry if I didn't make that clear but there really is no need to get worked up over it fella

So you would have rated him top 30 when he was i titlist at one weight but top 50 now he has acheived a title in a second division.
Your logic baffles me as the whole concept of p4p is based on a fighters supposed ability to win regardless of the given weight category.

i'm a huge Haye fan, i've been at his last 4 fights, but until he beats someone in or around that list hecant be included.

He has a few flaws, which i think are easily accented when he gets complacent during fights, i see him in a similar mind set to Floyd Mayweather, he needs the events to hype himself up, he needs a challenge or something on the line to get up for it.

In a big match up ie a klit, Povetkin, he would tighten up the defence and box smarter, its easy to look good when you know what is coming back at you, but i believe the more pressure he is under the better he will be

He definately has the potential to be P4P but he needs to fight someone of a good standard which will hopefully bring out the best in him
