I'm not getting worked up over it fella,as I wasn't the one using hyperbolic verbs in my statement. And if it were just a general comment, why bother responding to mine in the 1st place? You're obviously very sensitive to this issue.

I think probably 10-20 is about fair right now, though, like many others say, he is possibly more deserved than some currently on The Ring list.

Not having the Kilts in there also presents a huge obstacle for putting Haye in there, though I guess you can argue the CW angle.

I haven't made my own P4P list for a long time, but think a case can be made for Wlad's inclusion, though P4P lists often (but not always) seem to ignore the heavies.

I firmly believe that Pavlik is just pretty good at best. And if Hopkins weren't past it at that point in his career,he would never have lost to another-pretty good but that's all-fighter in Jermaine Taylor once, forget about twice. However Calzaghe is at fault with the Pavlik thing because he's the one that claimed he would never fight washed-up Jones and that he would fight either Taylor or Pavlik.

You'll need to take off six fighters from this list in order for Haye to get into the top 20. I think he can make a good case for top 20.

Pac, Floyd, Mosley, JMM, Hopkins, Cotto, Dawson, Williams, Donaire, Wonjongkam, Caballero, Hasegawa, John, Wlad, Vitali, Bute, Ward, Froch, Pavlik, Martinez, Bradley, Alexander, Valero, Lopez, Darchinyan, Calderon

Sorry I didn't fill in the blanks.
His achievements at cruiser alone would see him in at around #30. Would you have ranked the guys he beat any higher than #30?
His achievements at heavy by themself would see him in the top 50. Would you have ranked Valuev or Ruiz any higher than #50 P4P best fighter on the planet?

Add his achievements at both weights together? You have a case that he may be around #25.

Ok, question for those of you who voted that Haye belongs in the top 10 P4P fighters.

Which of his opponents would you have ranked higher than #50 P4P when he beat them? Name and rank them.

Then explain how Haye beating a handful of guys who are not even close to the top 30 P4P somehow justifies him being in the top 10.

Donaire is much to high on the list for someone who hasn't fought any quality opponents since the Darchi fight. :admin:admin:admin

I would have him at 9<<<<<<<<<<<
    And put Cotto at 8<<<<<<<<<

Interesting that 47 people were willing to vote that Haye belongs in the top 10, but not one of them can answer this coherently.

Proves my point that Haye's Gays are the worst thing to happen to ESB ever.

Apologies to those Haye fans who are rational and reasonable. I'm not speaking about you - Haye's Gays aren't doing you any favours with their stupidity either.

Ah right gotcha now, I think that is a fair assessment. If he manages a couple more wins then he will certainly be knocking on the door.

I'm not sensitive to the issue. Quite the opposite. However, this is a forum, hence the initial response. I was simply pointing out a misconception regarding Calzaghe. I'm a fan of his but felt let down by certain aspects of his career.

My initial response was to point out that people had placed Ward in their top ten. Calzaghe was rated for his longevity. Ward has beaten Kessler but that's it really
Personally I don't think it will be long before Ward finds himself right near the top of that list but at the moment he shouldn't be considered. Especially if we are not considering the likes of Haye yet.

All I will say is that Froch and Bute have acheived more than Ward at this point and I wouldn't consider either of those 2 for a top 50 spot.

I hope that explains my initial arguement.

I love a good debate. Cheers fella

I think you are correct about Pavlik and Taylor being good at best. I also think that because of the way results have gone for the pair of then in the past couple of years that even if Calzaghe fought them, then he would have been in a no win situation and people would be asking why he hadn't fought B-hop. I would have liked him to face them all but that was unrealistic with the time frame he had planned.
