Is Haye the most intelligent fighter currently?

Wladimir may be more educated than David, but David is more intelligent.

 

Whatever intelligence he may or may not have is gonna get bashed out of him this weekend. Hopefully not permanently. His glass jaw is gonna be shattered, and he will be utterly annihilated.

This. Haye is mentally sharper than Wlad, less easily flustered, more resilient.

Wlad may have an honorary doctorate in exercise science. For whatever that's worth.

But Wlad doesn't seem mentally sharp..he'd crumble in an verbal argument quickly and not be able to express what he wants to. A few days later he's still replaying it and thinking "I should have said THIS after they said THAT"

 

Wlad might be less flusterable if he wasn't speaking in his 3rd language. I can't imagine Haye would be terribly articulate if he had to speak in German.

Haye always puts up a punk ass attitude, but when he starts to analyze fights and fighters he does not sound dumb at all. And Wlad, as well educated and well mannered he is, rarely says something that sounds all that sharp. But Hayes strategy sounds like it is all based on the assumption that Wlad is weak, and it sounds like a dangerous bet to me. I still think Haye is in for a nasty surprise on saturday, when he realizes that the only thing that happends if you hit Wlad, is that he hit back.
