Are there any haye haters on here?

Every time he comes up, threads on him are treated objectively.
When threads come up about his trash talking generally he is acknologed as a funny guy.

However at times talking about Calzaghe/Hatton and the a lesser extent Khan is impossible.

    Why is this?

Haye probably. I made a thread about this a year ago, once a boxer gets a certain amount of press there seems to be a critcal mass thats reached and the hate explodes out of the forum!!

I think a lot of people like him cos he is making the sport interesting in the biggest division. And partly beacause a lot of the talk with him is of what might happen not what has happend which is the case with Joe and Ricky.I do wish he would do less talking even if he is funny sometimes.

He got a fair bit of **** around the time of the Klitscho/ Setanta thing, but, as that seems to have blown over I guess it was from Klitscho fans rather than Haye haters.

As soon as somebody because ridiculously famnous and has wealth beyond our widest imagination, they become hated almost instantly. Haye gets stick cos people dislike his charisma. Hatton, khan, calzaghe, and even froch get lots of stick (froch getting the least and calzaghe/khan getting the most). It only happens in britain as we are brought up in a jealous society, in american it is called living the american dream to be successful.

actually a pretty good point. Brits are far more cynical and critical of their own, as well as celebrities.

Probably because he can walk the walk as well as talk the talk. I think we give Khan, Hatton and Froch stick because they're out spoken in their own ways, but haven't truely been able to accomplish what they say. Khan used to bang on about him becoming the youngest ever world champ only to get KO'd by Prescott so we laughed at him. Hatton and his obsession with the P4P title and Froch for his obsession with Calzaghe were annoying.
Haye says the right things and promotes himself excellently he's a ****ing smart business man as well as a boxer, he's an intelligent guy and he's ****ing sexy too :rofl

I think it's just the way he came up or at least that's why I like him. Didn't dodge the European scene like most of them do, fought some tough fighters ad avenged some amateur defeats. You only have to look at Enzo's record to see how Haye could have taken it easier on himself and still got a title+money.

Mainstream wise I'd say yeah, coz hes a heavyweight with a colorful mouth and is black !!

And When you think OF colorful black heavyweights you think of The 90's with Tyson and Lewis

But on the real, in a British boxing fans perception he ain't that great !!

Hes a flawed boxer in a shitty division, the only thing hes got is a big old punch

A lot of people will be expecting BIG things from HAye, that's why hes got a bit of hype behind him !!

He probably will achieve some good things like Knocking out the Klitschkos, but he ain't really that good !!!!!!!

But i must say, his last performance pissed allot of people off...including me...!

David Haye can walk the walk, and talk to talk..there is no doubt about that.

    But in his last performance...

He did not Walk the Walk at all...

    It was a **** performance..

    Sorry.

Aint been on in a while, whats happened to your Haye stance PK?

    ''Stage over?''
    ''talk the talk,walk the walk''

I respect Haye for his resume and his route taken up until he turned heavyweight.

His charisma is undoubted but until he fights some decent boxers, his routine is like that of a comedian.
