Khan and Froch get as much stick about their promoters as themselves, or at least did. I think that as Haye does his own thing people are more willing to see him as genuine (even if it's genuinely selling a fight)

I don't hate any boxer on a personal or professional level. Sometimes I may disagree with certain perspectives on a boxer's abilities/standing, but I don't dislike anybody.

Haye - and Carl Froch - I think are awesome for British boxing simply because they put their face in the fire and walk the walk. Win, lose or draw these guys get my respect for consistently willing to take big risks.

Also David Haye is one hell of a promoter. Everyone, and I mean everyone, knew about the Haye-Valuev fight and I had loads of people who had never even spoken to me about boxing before coming up to me talking about that fight in the run up and in the aftermath. When you consider things like the Super Six are practically unknown of outside of the boxing world, that's pretty good going.
And I guarantee you, if Haye-Klitschko (V or W) happens it'll be in every paper for weeks, on all the news channels and talked about by every Tom, Dick & Harry- even those who don't know a left hook from a fishing hook. That can only be good for British boxing.

He's not reached the tipping point yet, but if he continues to be successful, he will

That success and exposure will trigger the deep seated jealousies / bigotry in some people and the hate will flow

    Give it time

Domestic level boxers don't really have haters on here. As Gaz said, once a boxer reaches a certain level then we start seeing the haters.

Ive just let it go man, i was supporting David Haye coming into his fight with "The Beast"...

But i was very disappointed with his performance, it was a **** performance..after all of the talk.

People ignored how "**** of a performance it was"

I think David Haye needs to be more busy at Heavyweight, and if they are all bums....

    I remember Nigel Benn saying..

"Line them up like bowling pins..and knock them over"

David Haye promised voilence, and i wanna see voilence..!

I'm not hating on him anymore...

David Haye can be too smug for my liking. He is quite a disrespectful person at times.
I thought his disrespect of Wladmir was uncalled for. And I thought that Haye was made to look bad there.

It was **** because he ran all night instead of fighting. Its a sign he is fearful of mixing it with the big boys in a proper fight. He would almost certainly be running from someone like Vitali too based on the evidence of the Valuev fight.

1}haye has done things the right way, i.e. british, euro, world camp.
2}he's been down against plenty and shown heart, got up and won.
3}he talks the talk and walks the walk.
4}his promoter also talks the talk and walks the walk not like warren.
5}the man has the tools to become heavyweight champ.

forget the valuev fight, that had a game plan written all over it, you cant trade with a circus act like that and the busted hand haye suffered showed that.

"I think we give Khan, Hatton and Froch stick because they're out spoken in their own ways, but haven't truely been able to accomplish what they say" ????????????

    What ?

So out of curiosity, what hasn't Froch accomplished ? He's only had his belt for 2 fights, defended succesfully both times against World Class opposition and is heading into another world class defense in his next fight and will continue to fight in huge/hard hard fights throughout the following year (maybe 2).

The reason he gets stick is what again................................?

maybe there is an interesting theory here:

    - the hate for a boxer is correlated to the amount of money and fame they make.

    - the hate for an ESB poster is correlated to the amount of posts they make*

    * theory based on farmboxer posting 17,000 times without 1 interesting point and he is the biggest and most worthless **** on here. :deal

Yeah give Froch time - he is building solidly and slowly to get where he is at. But now he is at the place where the big fights are happening. He is fighting Kelseer in his 3rd World title defense. And its not Frochs fault - but the fight could have easily been a big unification fight for another world title belt too.

Lets not forget as well - as well as Frochs two successful defences - his best win I feel was his title winning performance against Jean Pascal - who is a good good fighter.
