Is Haye too cautious to beat either Klitschko?

David says anything to offset negative aspects of his performance.

You would have to be imbecilic to believe anything he says in regards to his performances.

Haye is indeed very cautious, his chin is a liabilty so he knows one false move against the bros and he's toast. He can try to be patient and elusive to try to draw mistakes but I don't think this will work.

The only way he beats either is by ko but the chances of this happening are very slim, one thing is for sure, if he goes all bat**** crazy with either brother like he does whenever he goes in for the kill he will get brutalised. Even if he managed to hurt either of them his lack of composure leaves him so open that the "who lands first wins" scenario won't play out. He will get countered with something huge and that will be it. The gulf in class between the Klitschkos and the guys he's been fighting since his move up will become all too clear.

It's all well and good speculating about how the fight could go but I actually think Haye will retire without fighting either.

I think there has been a slight mistake made here !!!

Haye was looking for anything to feed off to land an effective counter against Harrison , note how he stood right in front of him ................ then yes your right he realised by the end of 2 Harrison was going to just tuck up hence the offensive barrage !!!

Haye will not fight the Klitshcko's or any other HW the way he did Valuev , Haye is a supreme fighter to Valuev in every single department aside from strength and size clearly !!! , he had a gameplan against Valuev and stuck to it , yes it was **** to watch , and yes it damaged his credibility IMO but it is what it is !!!

He has to know that fighting the Bros that way will not work , what he needs to do against the Bros is stop them from controlling the fight at distance , to do this he must counter everything straight , that the bros throw and have them hesitating to throw there jab or rear hand , if he acheives that , he has a good chance , its a big ask but i think he's got the skill set to pull it off !!!

Haye will never be gung ho in the heavyweight division. He relise on his speed and punching power to get on top of the big guys so he will always wait for openings.

Please enlighten me. And don't reference the Ruiz fight as an example of Haye's inability to avoid a shot because he had no sparring for 4 weeks before the fight

It's hard to say really. TFFP had it right, I think. Different tactics for different guys. But Haye is clearly not very sturdy and HW and he knows he can't take much punishment. So his style's going to negate that.

Chris Byrd has far better defence than Haye.

Haye has pretty shitty defence, he is reasonable quick and athletic, that isn't the same as being consistently elusive.

No, dont agree with this, Haye will be able to beat both klit bros which ever one he decides to fight, its ok to be cautious, but he will need to land punches on the klit bro, keep the pressure on and hit him hard, wear him down and he should be fine. just keep them gloves up for the klit fight tuck his chin in and he wins!

Yeah he will have to, he has to change the way he boxes and has to keep guard up for them, he cant do what he has done in his last however many fights.

But he will beat them, if he wants to win he will adapt a new style specifically for that fight. train hard and the win is his.

It's not going to happen Gaz. Fighters like Haye who keep their hands low do so for a reason. If he suddenly starts using a high guard he won't be able to punch from angles or let his hands go like he does now. I just can't see him beating either no matter what tactics he employs. They both have too many advantages over him.

I did think this. Harrison is a poor mans Wlad. Getting past Wlads jab and right hand is tough. Wlads taller than Harrison and knows how to box much better. Hayes got huge power though and one punch can change everything.

Fair point, but thats down to him and his camp, if he was to get KO'd then by all means keep your guard down. Valuev had advantages weight height power (power debatable) etc, but did not get him far did it? and Valuev got rocked!

Im pretty confident that he will beat whichever one he decides to take on!:good you got to be a stupid twat not to keep your guard up for a klit fight.

Valuev has NOWHERE near the same power as Haye, just greater strength.
