Seeing this fight is not an option in the UK.

I would be paying to see it if I possibly could.

The Mexican Independece Day was always a good seller, thanks to De La Hoya. Marquez did very good numbers vs. PacMan and became the Mexican who didn't end up on the canvas like Barrera and Morales. It's a smart move from the money-lover HBO and GBP and it's a pretty big fight in terms of names and titles. But definitely not a fan's fight since we're speaking about two natural counter-puncers. No PPV material.

So the fans will be disappointed. F*ck the promoters they couldn't but Campbell-Guzman and Casamayor-JMM on the same show.

I called a Corporate Exec. suit from Time Warner to ***** about this, and he basically laughed at my opinion as a Hardcore fan and said it was "strictly subjective" as to what boxing fans determined what fights were worthy of PPV status, and it was a Determination between the Promoter and TW to put a fight on PPV and if the fight even drew average numbers and turned a small profit, that it would be done more and more. BUT in today's economy, my guess is that not too many fans are going to pay for this HBO BAD fight. I am dying to see the numbers so I can call both Richard Schaefer and his ass back and laugh at them.

I just cant see whats ppv about this fight

    undercard is eh
the boxers are good but none are knockout artists
neither of them are big names

the only cool thing is what their fighting for...

and on top of it the same night on showtime (non ppv)
campbell is fighting guzman which is a way better fight

Thats the difference between a Promoter who is out to **** the fans Financially, and one who cares about the fans.

It is PPV because HBO ran out of dates and did not have an availiable spot for it.

It is PPV because Oscar, Schaefer and Time Warner like little green pieces of paper with dead presidents on it, get off the crackpipe before you try and argue me, boy.:smoke

That's a bull**** Ross Greenburg HBO company line. Watch, magically the week after the fight, there will be an open slot on a Saturday night to air the replay. So, why Ross Greenburg, couldn't the live fight have aired in the slot saved for the replay??

    Money, Money, Money, Money.....................................

    MONEY.

It is only distributed by HBO PPV. HBO's announcers are not even going to be at the fight. There will be no replay either. It is a garbage fight anyway if you don't want to watch it don't pay. I won't be. :deal
