I'm actually a big fan of Linares, followed him for years since he won the Featherweight title. He has qualities as a boxer, but he is not a quality boxer, end of story.

He's skilled, fast hands, nice variation etc but his defense is leaky and he's got a dodgy beard.

So you accuse me of saying Linares has no qualities? That's a lie, you've just made it up, yet again. I'd love to hear what you have to say to this? I said he isn't a quality fighter, you can try and twist my words all you want but it isn't going to work.

Comprehensively beat up by 3 C level fighters doesn't make you a top fighter, that's a fact.

 

I would actually like to see linares next for burns. Former champ, decent skills and should give more experience against a boxer type, without posing too many problems. No point in defending against another come forward fighter before taking on abril or Vasquez.

 

I didn't say he was a top fighter I said he is a quality boxer which means I apreciate his skills and its no suprise that he was outboxing Demarco because he's capable of outboxing alot of guys including Ricky Burns.

Those three guys are all better fighters than Ricky Burns imo you can disagree but it isn't going to change my opinion.The next three guys Burns faces will show you how much faith Eddie Hearn has in Ricky.Itll be Gavin Rees,John Murray and Kevin Mitchell.
