So that DAZN can move in??

Hearn is shrewd and cannot believe this many ppvs can be sustainable...Then look at the US market where they screwed every last dollar out of the fans until HBO pulled out and DAZN have stepped in!!!...

No as PPV can work here at the current price point.

Matchroom know sky and the casual market is where the money currently is in the UK. That won't change for a while. Dazn would have to get premier league rights in the uk. That's billions a year.

No. Hearn has enough on his plate trying to deliver for DAZN at the moment, before thinking of anything else.

Not destroy PPV but DAZN is the future (streaming) Hearns is adapting I think its paying dividends having a young team around him. It's up to Sky now.

I don't think dazn can compete in the uk for many years.

sky sports news and the ads across all the different sky channels is probably the biggest factor in their ppv sales.

    This

You can't overstate how much of an impact the sky marketing machine makes.

Beetee sports were supposed to have this massive war chest to go up against sky with and they turned tail and ran pretty quick.

Unless someone can secure the top premier league games on a consistent basis they have no chance vs sky and no im not talking about Swansea vs Norwich on a Saturday and west brom vs fulham on a Sunday.

I can't see how DAZN survives long term to be honest. Have they not guaranteed Canelo 30 million dollars a fight? And is it not 10 dollars a month in the US to subscribe?

Say Canelo fights twice a year, that's 60 million they've to find, which is 500,000 full year subscriptions. Obviously there's going to be advertising and gate receipts etc, but it still strikes me that they will need an awful lot of subscribers.

    Fowler v Cheeseman
    Kelly v Yelleusinov

    Two undeniable PPV fights.

Didn’t matchroom just sign a 7 year deal with sky sports??
Or did I make that up??
I would rather pay a tenner a month for dazn than pay 16.95/19.95 to watch PPV sometimes you only buy it for the one fight you don’t want to miss and it’s very rarely the main event
