He still lost almost every round and went the distance with every legend not just Trinidad, but he went 12 rounds 3 years later against DLH and with a list that is very long as well before that. Of course Camacho would be a HOF. Just like Mayweather, his personality is what people dislike, but at then end of the day Camacho accomplish a lot even through the circumstances he had outside his life. He brought entertainment to the sport of boxing and just like Manny, believe it or not if you combine his minor belts with major belts he is also a 7 weight division champ.
Well, Camacho was strong at 147 against "Trinidad and DLH," but also roughly 10 yrs older and physically not as big as them vatos' were / are....... Yes, Camacho ran and held all through them bouts, but a dude has gotta do what he gotta do in order to survive...... Those were legit losses for Camacho........ MR.BILL
I think he definitely belongs in the HOF. Not to down anyone but Mancini is in and he beat Mancini. I know that's not how it goes but he was a very difficult fighter to fight. The big fights that he did lose were against future HOFers.
WELL...JUST LET ME CHANGE MY CARD...Compubox!!! LOL Try watching the fight and making your own decision!!!
Actually, no........ Mancini is only inducted into an "American" Hall of Fame outlet.......... Mancini is not in the IBHOF up in New York....... And it is doubtful if he'll ever make it there, too........ I know California has some bull**** World Boxing Hall of Fame system, but it ain't the same as the one up in New York...... I'm not sure what organization Mancini is in, but it ain't the IBHOF.... MR.BILL:good
Camacho was pretty good in his lightweight days and worthy of HOF. He beat a who's who of the 80's and most of the top lightweights of the day not named Chavez.
yes, but the reason I gave this dude lot of credit is because he still went 12 rounds at against future greats who's in their 20's. You can try to survive for 12 rounds but without great experience and technique you wouldnt survive against prime de la hoya and trinidad. Trinidad was 22 wins with 19 KO prior to that fight. It's unfair to pointing his lopside lost against tito and de la hoya and ignoring his age while we always defend Chavez, Leonard, Ali or even Tyson who's losing also in their 30's prime age vs prime age only chavez dominated him, that was after 10 years without losing a match (saved greg haugen controversial win which he avenged) yes, he's 7 weight division champ but 4 of them are minor Titles, however he still won 3 major titles in 3 different class so he deserved to be in HOF.
Well, Camacho at age 48 is looking to fight--AGAIN! I never saw his draw with Campas last year...... Peace...... MR.BILL
i am not a camcho fan by any stretch of the imagination. but anyone who thinks he does not belong needs to stop watching this sport. his accomplishments speak for themselves.
