I read it from a KO or World Boxing interview by Camacho back in the 1990s.......... Camacho stated he was taking laxatives in the week leading up to the weigh-in for Chavez.... Camacho also said that he was crapping so much he thought he was gonna get hemorrhoids...... Word..... I don't actually believe all that I read, but I think "KO & World Boxing" magazines are top-notch and of quality..... Well, they were when I was reading them..... I stopped with the magazines back in 2005........ :hat:deal MR.BILL
Never said Camacho didn't belong, but just wanted to remind some that Camacho not only went the distance just with Trinidad, but also with other legends even at his age. And just like I said Manny is seven weight division champ, but not all major titles and official sanction belts just like Camacho.:good
I guess here in 2010 I have to buy into groups like the WBC, WBA, WBO & IBF, but that's were it all ends......... Screw the IBO, IBC, WBU, WBF, WAA and all the other lesser horse**** groups claiming to be world sanctioning bodies of boxing.... I ain't buying into that **** at all........ I am a little upset with Nigel Collins who was editing The Ring and KO magazines for a number of years... Nigel ran a thread several years back claiming all these ABC groups would be folded by this time and place here in 2010, but it seems he was wrong there...... I was hoping he'd be right, but that's not the case.... The ABC boys are still going strong....... MR.BILL
oh cool, you're making excuses for his loss! Ok I'll play... what happened when Rosario savagely beat him down? You already used the exlax one, rule is it has to be something different.
Bernie, get with the program....... Camacho beat Roasario on points.... That is official...... I have that fight on tape as well...... Rosario had two real solid rds against Camacho in 1986... That was it... The rest was all Camacho by way of sticking and moving....... MR.BILL:hi:
ok! :nut I like Camacho. Borderline HOF, I wouldn't be too upset either way. He couldn't hang at the very highest levels, but if he could we'd be wondering if he was ATG instead of a HOF'er. There are PLENTY of worse fighters in the hall and he brought some money and attention to the sport.
Look... I don't always agree with the judges, either..... I thought Roberto Duran beat Camacho on a clear decision in 1996, but the judges reamed Duran's colon clean....... Now come 2001 for the rematch, well, Camacho won that on points........ :deal MR.BILL Note: I also think DLH got butt-shafted by the judges against Trinidad back in '99, too.....
:hey:good:blurp:happy Too many youth's on ESB...... At times Id swear only "Pacquiao or Mayweather" are the only two fighters in the world........ Damn kids.....:fire MR.BILL
After Tzsyu just got in....it just opened the door for a lot of Mutha'fukas' who really shouldn't get close enough to SNIFF the HOF!!!! This content is protected
You can look at lesser fighters who are in the HOF and say "well if he's in, then.....". If that's the case, then Camacho is a surefire HOFer. But I don't like looking at poor choices as a standard. I think he's a borderline case, I'm more inclined to lean towards him getting in, but I think his chances may be hurt by him being an underachiever. He was an ATG talent who had a very good career. He had pretty respectable power earlier in his career, particularly at 130. He was no powder-puff puncher. Compubox also said Tony Thompson outlanded Wladimir Klitschko. It doesn't mean ****. It was a close fight that could've gone either way IMO. I had Rosario ahead. I would've liked to see a rematch.
