After beating Tyson, someone in the background shouts "Hes the Greatest Of All Time". Holyfield looks at this person and acknowledges him with a nod. Could Holyfield have any claim to being the GOAT at all? Holyfield also said he would have Ko'd Louis if they fought in one of his recent interviews. What do you think?
I dont accept it either, but considering what Holy said about Joe Louis i thought id see what other peoples views are
He's a goat for sticking around way too long in this sport. As for being recognized as the Greatest Of All Time? No. What he does deserve is respect as being one of the greatest heavyweights the sport has ever seen. Holyfield had many excellent moments in the ring and gave the sport a lot of good memories. I don't want to see him get hurt or take anymore punches. There is no ONE G.O.A.T., IMO. Sugar Ray Robinson probably gets the most votes with Ali a close second.
To be fair, a lot of Joe Louis's bum of the month club said they would beat him. Once they were in the ring with him it was a different matter.
The Holyfield thing or the Ali above Louis thing? The latter isn't up for debate Jorodz, you know that.
agreed. i don't give a **** how many broads he ****ed or kids he spawned. in the ring, he's everything we could ever ask for
He's the G.O.A.T at headbutting. His losses to Riddick Bowe and Michael Moorer in his prime hurt his legacy a bit. That, and the fact that he struggled with old Holmes and Foreman, and was almost KO'd by Bert Cooper. All of these incidents occured when he was at his best.
true they do BUT his wins over holmes, foreman and tyson constitute victories over 3 top 10 all time heavies. that's ****ing impressive, even though he showed flaws in each showing as well as those you mentioned
