Holy's awesome, but I really couldn't put him at the top of that tree. Top ten in an absolute heartbeat, but not the GOAT.
That version of Dokes was a seriously good fighter though. The Dokes who fought Holyfield was probably the best he'd been since 1982. Terrific comeback from Dokes to justify his potential. I actually think that version of Dokes would have given any version of Tyson a very hard fight too. He was in better form than the likes of Tubbs and Thomas who Tyson fought.
Unless you consider holyfield to have been smack in his prime, I see no way you can justify this statement.
He's one of the greatest HWs ever but clearly not the best. Now of course if he beats both Klitshko brothers that could change but...
My girlfriend says I'm the best **** in history. Just because she says it doesn't mean it's true, and doesn't mean she, me, or anyone else believes it.
I think Holyfield may have beaten Louis, I think he's a better technical boxer, better footwork/movement, smarter and he's stronger. The only problem is if he brawls too much, then Louis has the advantage
NO..... NO,,,,, NO,,,,.. NO....... 'ENERY COOPER is the G.O.A.T. ............ of boxer quotes ; ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'ENERY COOPER ; was once confronted by a boxing abolitionist, Baroness Edith Summerskill, about the brutalities of his sport. Cooper: Well madam, have you looked in the mirror and seen the state of your nose? Boxing is my excuse. What's yours? -
