watched the kovalev-agnew fight and the caparello fight again. Hopkins is gonna do a number on this dude. It's not gonna be close, people. fools who bought into the kovalev hype are gonna be knocked on their a88 when hopkins beats kovalev like mule.

Hopkins will go in as narrow favorite but I think he could struggle with the pace Kovalev sets, particularly early on. Hopkins struggled with Calzaghe's work-rate and Kovalev hits a lot harder.

    Hopkins is the underdog.

    Clear underdog even :yep

Bookies have Hopkins outright between 15/8 and 5/2.

I think Bernards really gonna struggle in the early rounds, but if he can make it through to 7 we could maybe see Kovalev starting so slow down, and Hopkins possibly starting to time him.

Hopkins last decent win was over Pascal over 3 years ago. Neither Cloud, Murat or Shumenov - all of whom shoud have taken losses to Campillo - are on remotely the same level as Kovalev, and Bernard just continues to get older.

Bernard deserves full props for taking this fight and it'll be an absolutely remarkable achievement if he can win, but I have to see Kovalev as the favourite.

What did the Agnew and Caparello fights show you that you makes you think Kovalev is vulnerable to Hopkins BTW (except perhaps that he gets cut if you butt him)? Genuine question.

    I'm surprised.

I think boxing fans might have a slightly different take on it.

I've always thought Kovalev wasn't that good. His skills are decent at best, it's his power that got him where he is. I'm interested in seeing if Hopkins can negate that power. If he can, my money is on Hopkins.

Went up 2 weight classes? He's been rehydrating up to 147 prior to that fight! Was Oscar drained or not?

He fought Oscar at 147 but not Cotto? Isn't that the same thing Mayweather did with Cotto and Canelo? So Pacquiao drained Oscar and Cotto? But you want to criticize Floyd :verysad

Roach ducked Margo in his prime, waited until he had a string of bad performances AND drained him.

Don't go there with me, you'll lose.
