I think we all just need to agree to disagree. My point here is that it's hypocritical to criticize Floyd for things Pac has done too. My apologies to the OP for bringing him up.

I just wanted to add that Mayweather's and Manny's fans are the most annoying thing in boxing right now, one could think the boxing scene mainly consists of 12 year old WWE fans, just saying

agnew was extremely timid...almost negative in his approach. Clearly he was a guy who had no confidence or belief in himself or his chances. still he was able to spin kovalev around, feint and get kovalev out of synch when he used the jab. This is due to the fact that kovalev is very slow...when agnew stopped punching and basically covered up out of sheer negativity, kovalev didn't really press him either. That's to say, agnew was able to dictate the tempo to a certain degree...if only he wasn't so willing to lay down the first time he got hit on his arms or his gloves. against campillo, kovalev looked off balance a lot. he lunged. maybe because campillo was offering little in return....but campillo was initially able to easily avoid kovalev's rushes...i see bernard being able to dictate the pace, give kovalev angles, outjab him, tie him up or avoid kovalev's clumsy offense. I see the fight going to the late rounds and the pace picking up...bernard will hurt him for sure...i'm picking hopkins by late KO.

The only effectiveness from Agnew against Kovalev were fouls.

Has Canelo ever KOed an opponent with a body shot the way Kovalev KOed Agnew? Kovalev is a monsterous body puncher and every time Hopkins punches at Kovalev's head, his arms won't be their to shield his ribs and gizzard. Kovalev also methodically destroyed Capparello with body punching.
I wonder if Hop will wear a Lennox Lewis style rib protector.

    2 quick points...

    1. The victory over Pascal (or as I view it, the 2 victories) was far better than any win on Kovalev's ledger.

    2. Kovalev has never fought anyone even remotely approaching the skills and smarts of even a 50 year old B-Hop.

Kovalev will break Hopkins' ribs....................however, Hopkins' will have his referee Count Dracula to come back from Transylvania to disqualify Kovalev in the very first round for hitting Hopkins. Dracula will claim that punching Hopkins is a foul....................otherwise Kovalev should stop Hopkins.............Kovalev would have easily knocked out Pascal, don't forget, Pascal knocked Hopkins down more than once....................Calzaghe sure made Hopkins look like a fool, so did Jones, Taylor, even Dawson.................

Ward needs to get these precious tune ups out of the way fast so we can get more of these genius threads...if he ever fights Kovalev
