Is Hopkins leaving Golden boy?

Wouldn't surprise me, Golden Boy has essentially said they won't do anything else for him regarding boxing because of their concerns for his health. But I have a hard time believing he signed with King. Perhaps King is really that desperate but Hopkins and King have already been involved in a lawsuit.

 

I forgot about Hopkins fainting in the locker room, serious business. Good luck to him in his future matches, wish he retired with Roy Jones and Holyfield.

 

Hes bitching bout GoldenBoy not getting him a fight etc, Chad Dawson has been offering him a fight for ages. Hopkins is such a whiner.

He isnt, nor his Shane. They have advisory roles, if i remember correctly Hopkins is California area one or w/e.

 

You honestly think after all he has proven that he needs to prove his self once again fighting someone like Dawson?

You fight guys like Dawson to prove yourself as you rise for a small amount to money to guarantee the big money fights in the long run if successful, that's what all fighters RISING do and HAVE to do. Hopkins passed that line long ago and beat his share of Dawsons his entire career even as an old man, that line is crossed. The man obviously wants the big money fights, he has nothing left that he has to prove to no one, the people that still need proof are the ignorant fools that picked against him previously and continue to do so out of hate. It's all about $ and if he wants a few less risky big money fights then why not?, he made a living taking risks. If fighting at this age regardless of opponent isn't similar to a damn death sentence to you then you need to know more about this sport.

 

its all bull**** about golden boy "looking out for his health" . Hopkins just stunk the joint out and all but guaranteed no one will pay to see him fight again...its a business move not a "im looking out for you move" . and if people do pay to see him again, it will be against a chad dawson...or they wont buy it.
