after what we have seen in this fight?

Will you take him out of your list now?

I am talking about him being an elite fighter at this point.

Prior to this fight, I still thought he can beat the likes of Abraham or Kessler, and may put up a decent showing versus Dawson, just because of his skills and experience.

But this fight showed us the actual situation with his age. He gets tired now, and fights in spurts, and I think the likes of Ward and Dirrel will beat him now.

    I think he is.

He should also think about exiting while he is not embarrassed yet by the young guns.

It was a struggle for both of them. Have you seen your grandfather fought another old man?

    That is how it was.

****. i never thought bhop would be that bad. i am thinking that bhop would probabaly carry or stretch this fight so that it would not look like a farce or a mismatch but in the end, it looked worse. if that's the case, both of them should hang up. i could probably make a more honest opinion if i can see the fight but reading through the round by round thread makes me less interested to watch it.

I am not gonna write him off just yet considering what he did to Kelly Pavlik only about 18 months ago.

Hopkins looked like the same Hopkins in there. He's always fought in spurts. Maybe his stamina isnt' as good now, I dunno that for a fact though. He seemed to be fine throughout the fight, except for those weird acting moments.

18 months is a loooong time for an ageing fighter. It's conceiveable for a fighter to go from being old and capable, to completely shot in that span of time.

Hopkins ( who I was a fan of ) has been living off his name (and lets be honest ) US passport for years.

Hopkins really pissed me off last night. I never have liked him much, but my feelings had warmed towards him a bit, now, I once again don't like him.
