He's past it. It's not like Jones was setting a fast tempo last night, he's in his 40's as well ffs, and Hopkins still went down 3 times, probably to get a rest as well as try to get points deducted. If he was fighting Dawson, Kessler or someone he'd be rolling around on the floor every single round.

He's been past his p4p best since the Taylor fights though imo.

Still is good enough to beat good smaller guys.

he needs to retire but he can be a good actor. he shows good acting skills during the fight. the academy should consider nominating him for best actor next year!

He's as good as when he beat Pavlik you idiots. Jones is a bad style for Hopkins and forced him to be the aggressor. How many so called boxing fans actually understand boxing? Very few it seems.

I didn't see the whole fight yet and I honestly will say whatever I think when I do so. In the meantime, I have to consider that the guy is physically up to the tasks ( excluding moving up to 200 pounds plus) and that he dominates his craft to give trouble to whichever fighter presents to him... I am not sure Dawson would physically break Hopkins down if the same Dawson struggled at times with Glen Johnson and Tarver and we all know Bernard is a step above those guys. I am not just looking up to one fight and Bernard Hopkins, you need to consider the limitations of his opponents 2.

I swear Hopkins fans overrate him so much, Hopkins is only a p4p boxer because of reputation and his history. But if you look back at the last 5 years (since his loss to Taylor) he's been cherry picking and choosing his opponents wisely.

Hopkins hasn't fought a legitimate young boxer in his own weight class (which is the LHW divison) since beating Tarver. Hopkins guy is GARBAGE now.

Whatever he still sucks, you won't see Hopkins in the ring with likes of Tavoris Cloud, Jean Pascal, Lucian Bute, or Chad Dawson. Most likely they will knock out his overrated ass.

Noone is knocking out Hopkins. They might outwork him but they are definitely not stopping him. I believe he would easily beat those first 3 but Dawson would have an easy time with him.

Hopkins is literally begging to get KO'd or he won't retire. The man has balls, no one can dare argue with that, did I hear him call David Haye in a heavyweight fight?

I hated what he did on Saturday more than anyone, but no one can disrespect a 45 year old competing in one of the most dangerous sports and actually high in P4P(top 5) lists at this stage of his career.

Hopkins would beat Pascal , Cloud and Bute ?

if you had said that he might be tricky enough to stay away from those three I might have given you the benefit of the doubt , but beat them ? Jesus !!!!!!

    This. :deal

Some persons only pay attention to the adage "Styles makes fights" when it suits them.

However that statement should suitably be applied here.
