i got love for B-hop, but isn't Joe Frazier from Philly bro? i'd say best middleweight from philly and top 5 middleweight of alltime. we're lucky to have him in this era, cuz there's high demand for atg's, but low supply unfortunately

what ******ed argument will u make to say he is a better boxer than meldrick, frazier or rocky?...I dont think he is worse...he is a true philly legend..hard to say he is better...if it is talent it is meldrick,,,toughness and excitement it is frazier...if it is pure defense and tactical skills it is BHOP

Smoking Joe Frazier. Lost to who? Ali, Foreman. A different era and he probably would have gone undefeated.

He is up there in the top 5 of Philly greats. He has accomplished quite a bit and has still can beat the best guys in the sport at age 43 in a career that has lasted 20 years and counting. To say #1 though is hard to say though. Guys like Saad Muhammad, Joe Frazier, and Joey Giardello to name a few might not have been champion as long or had careers as long with the ability to fight at top level into their later years, but you have to take a couple of things into consideration. First of all, nutrition and supplements and training techniques are so superior to what Hopkins predessors had, and are no doubt a big reason Hopkins is still at such a high level. Also back when the aforementioned fighters fought the competition was much better and it was alot harder to stay at the top, being fighters were better then than now. If Hopkins had guys like Giardello,Benton, Pastrano, Torres, Griffith, Briscoe etc to deal with now, his career could very well be over by now.

i hear ya. if SRL came up with one, surely B-hop would. i don't think B-hop matched Leonards combos, but he did in pop shots, or leads right hands in particular. on his best night, B-hop would give any middleweight in history problems.
