That would be insane to face Chisora or Mcdermott the first year he is pro. Whats the rush he is only 18. He needs to take his time. Even if he takes his time he could still be champ time he is 21. One thing about the Furys they don't pad there records before stepping up. **** Hughie is already fighting fighters the same level Wilder is.

Have heavyweight boxing gone down this low, just watched one of his fight and this guy is what they call a tomato can. Guy like this would get smoke in no time back then, now they're the heavyweight savior . The last great HW have to be Ike the Pres, since then there's no HW that would have the potential of a Tyson or Holyfield.

He'll grow up to be another Gypsy loudmouth ducker like Tyson is.

Can't see it man. He's still completely unproven. If he shows the talent and commitment required it'd still take years, politics have less to do with it than experience. Do you really think he'd put in a good showing even against a 2nd tier fighter right now?

Mike Tyson did what he did and is remembered how he is because he was truly exceptional in terms of speed, power, aggression and (though less commonly commented upon), skill.

    Hughie Fury...not so much.

His time may come, but not yet. From what he's done so far, and given his age, Nostradamus himself couldn't predict Hughies future. I myself have yet to see anything to make him stand out though.

But as I said before, good luck to the kid.

Maybe you got a really good eye, but Wlad became champ at 24, Lewis at 28, you really think Hughie's at that level already?

If you're right, me, you and the bookies are gonna be best mates.;)

People forget Hughie's excellent amateur pedigree. It's easy to say, ah there's the Pikey. They all fight the same don't they? but this couldn't be further from the truth. Hughie has excellent boxing skills.

As for levels, this kid along with Joshua are UK's best heavyweight prospects.

True, he shouldn't step up too early, but fighting Wilders level of opposition, (even this early) is surely the very definition of padding your record;) - though I suppose everyone needs to start somewhere.

First 10-15 fights of any pro's career should be against stiffs/tomato cans. Thats what they do. Mike Tyson did the same - fought 'mexican road sweepers' then they slowly up the anti and fight better calibre fighter...then again after a few at that level up it some more. It builds a fighters confidence and more importantly experience. Drop 'em in too early against high level opposition can ruin them mentally. So far he's doing good and doing what he should do. You never know how good someone is going to become till they step it up.

Look at Price - I think he will be a world class fighter and will get his revenge vs Thompson...but see what happend there - first big step up and that happens! Thats why fighters take their time and build with experience.

If someone is to break Tyson's record, this is the time to do it. He's got 2 years until he turns 20 and by that time one or possibly both Klitschkos will be gone and it won't be too hard to win one of the straps. Question is if it Means something, though.

He would stop Wlad inside 3 now. Wlad would claim he'd be poisoned after the fight.

He would make Vitali quit on his stool too, like the glass hearted little twat he is.
